#ProjectLipstick30 Day 30 - Givenchy Le Rouge - Carmin Escarpin

Ever received something and can't bare to use it? That's me at this current time with this Givenchy lipstick, I mean it's not everyday your given such a gift that's your own and more so it was engraved and personalised with my name on it, such a beautiful touch to an already, sex symbol red lipstick. I guess I could always buy the shade again and whip the lid on it duhh...What do you think? This month Givenchy launched their latest collection 'Le Rouge' a rich, velvety lip colour that in one stroke leaves your lips saturated with colour. These are semi-mattes, infused with beeswax for intense moisture, with 26 shades in total, your bound to find one you love. So this is why this is my final lipstick, as it's a special one bearing my name.

This is a brief initial review, on this range also.

Inspiration : This is one shade out of the latest Givenchy lipstick collection, legend has it that for inspiration for this collection the artistic director for Givenchy makeup, Nicolas Degennes wanted to do something different for Givenchy Le Rouge, how so? By starting off with inspiration and ordering limitless amounts of different orchids from all over the world, thereby mixing different shades of these orchids into one lipstick.

Packaging : The leather and silver stud give an already different feel to other lipsticks in the drawer ( well mines still in the box, am I that God damn anal?! ). I'm drawn more to use it, even though I'm not!! There's bullet points on either side of the lipstick that need to be correctly positioned before you close it. That may annoy some, when your rushing you just want to slot it in, not play rubix.

Colour/Tone : Carmin Escarpin is a orange, red. The tone of this lipstick really does depend on the lighting, I hope I got it just, in the natural light, might be a tad darker.

Scent : Even the scent of this lipstick is sweet, it doesn't have a vanilla smell but there's a scent to it, *goes to investigate* the scent is "Infused with a delicate fragrance of powdery mimosa and blackcurrant notes"

Pigmentation & Lasting : It goes on a little semi-matte but the colour is one to build onto, it's soft, moisturising and last me about an hour or so but this is with most lipsticks and me, drinking, talking, eating - little can withstand all of that nearly each hour.
