#ProjectLipstick30 Day 14 Motives for La La - Queens

This one isn't been lost as much as avoided, I just didn't know what to do with it. Easy answer - wear it but gold, glittery lipstick um, it's just not for me.

When I was sent Motives for La La - Queens* I was so unsure how I would use the colour for a make-up look, guess I could do something bronzed and different with the lips but it just wasn't looking great for me. The colour pay off isn't there, it doesn't apply evenly across the lips. Just bleeds into the lips cracks and glistens with glitter. Of course we've sat around and debated who would wear such a lipstick and we've all said yardies, now I may be of Jamaican heritage but I've not crossed that path ... just yet.

I like the Motives for La La range but Queens, is a huge no-no for me, more reserved for a Christmas bauble. Sorry!

  1. I feel like I really want to like this, because gold shades are something I always reach for.. But gold glitter lipstick? It seems like something dug up from the 90's to me.

Maybe it would look a little better if applied lightly over a pink?

    1. Good suggestion, the sparkles might be ok for some but it wasn't for me and then trying to wipe it off was maniac, glitter bits all around my mouth looked a mess lol xo

  2. I keep hearing about Motives cosmetics. The lipsticks look great, and they have amazing colors. Love the sparkles.
