LFW | Vauxhall Fashion Scout

On Saturday I meet up with Grace from All That Slap and we attended London Fashion Week to watch two shows at the Vauxhall Fashion Scout Spijkers en Spijkers & Bernard Chandran courtesy of MakeBelieve

We had one of the best days out, was so funny especially when meeting straight away she caught me just after my 193 stairs trauma lol.

We made our way over to Glam's Blogging Suite where we was greeted by the lovely ladies up there. Grace got herself a cuppa, while I decided to start on the champagne. They had a room where a lot of media girls were in from various website, updating about the shows and networking and also another room where they had the Rimmel team doing anyone's nails and make-up. I decided to get my nails done in this new shade. Met two lovely bloggers Lee-Anne & Sherry who contribute to the fabulous fashion website Fashions Finest

Making our way over to Freemason's Hall for the first show which was Spijkers en Spijkers

Throughout Spijkers en Spijkers SS 13 collection there was a 1920s vibe, with the hair accessories and long chain necklaces. Geometric prints & my favourite was the boyish blazers and shirts - I have a thing for androgyny so it pleased me to see this. There was a lot of black lace, pastel colours, block colours and marcel waves. The accessories and hair were simple, the clothes truly spoke for themselves with the 'less is more'

Make-Up : Lan Nguyen ( who is one of the tutors over at AOFM ) - The Body Shop
Hair : Efi Davis - Toni & Guy

Afterwards we went back to the Glam Blogging Suite, where I kept saying to Grace I recognise that woman there (which I had been saying practically all day about nearly everyone lol ) only to now find out it was Kate Nash ( whose songs I lurrrve ) we recharged ourselves & our equipment in preparation for the next show.

Bernard Chandran, his clothes have been worn by the likes of Estelle, Lady GaGa & Rihanna and upon seeing his show, I now see why. This show was PACKED! It ran late, (the music for this show needs a seeking out) The shoes - being one who is a shoe fanatic, I loved the shoes.

The inspiration for Bernard's collection:
Based on the story of a close friend’s love, Chandran creatively expresses the transitions of love and is able to ‘blur the lines between joy, caution and confidence, expressed through a breadth of innovative designs’.

Most of his dresses - skirts were cut short at the front while keeping a long length at the back. Shift dresses and mini skirts in white and bright lovely creams while leading into a darker side with greys and creams and geometric print and ending with pinks and embellished jewels and sequins.

You can watch the video below on the whole catwalk show to get a better look at this fantastic collection & see if you can spot me in the second row at 00:28 swooshing my hair about with my jumper lol.

Make-up : Nora Nona - Body Shop
