Eating Out Post Lockdown With Ease

In what seems like a lifetime, being able to go out and eat, may feel a little foreign but at the same time liberating. To go out with family & friends and experience someone else cooking and treating ourselves can actually be looked upon as self-care. We all need a little of that from time to time. I haven’t eaten out in a restaurant since before the first lockdown, we are probably talking late January-mid February 2020. In all honesty I do miss being led to a table and being waited on, it’s amazing just the little things that we don’t think about that we enjoy every now and again. If you’re someone like me who hasn’t eaten out since pre-lockdown, I want to help you have a fuss-free post lockdown dining experience. I’m planning a day out in a few weeks, just after June 21st aka Freedom Day but now I feel as though I don’t know how to find or plan anything and finding meeting venues can be hard but there is a website that can take all that guess work and find the ideal place to eat. I’ve used SquareMeal, it’s super easy to use. It helps narrow down where in the area of the major UK cities you want to eat, what you want to eat and of course when. You can make sure that you’re getting everything you want without all the hours and days of scrolling and searching through so many websites. It’s a one stop website. SquareMeal also have a restaurant loyalty scheme that rewards you every time you dine out at a participating restaurant and these points can be used towards (btw you get 200pts just if you’re new to SquareMeal) 100pts = £1. The offers are interesting as you can get money off your bill, personalised offers and discounts – even luxury gifts with their hand selected top partners – I spot a Jo Malone candle.

The last time I went to London and had such a big blow out, food, drinks & shisha was for my birthday a few years back, this time, I’ll be in Kensington, London and sometimes you don’t want the moving around so much – even though we know it’s pretty simple and accessible to move around. I’ve looked at SquareMeal and typed in Kensington in the search bar & restaurants -appear. In the sidebar there is quite a few options to narrow down by cuisine, price, restaurant type, occasion and even outdoor dining options – that for me is fun as I’m looking at the options, waterside, rooftop, terrace. You really can make your experience. Which is what I’ve been doing & what is normally the most stressful part has been quite fun to share with my friends and have a place that suits everyone.

There's so many local restaurants around Bedfordshire for me to pick but this guide of 12 best resturants in Bedfordshire is really helping me find more eateries. Being obsessed with the look of those igloos, I would love to of dined in one but it’s not an option after 21st June but I really cannot wait to go visit my favourite Italian restaurant as for me, it's the atmosphere, food and cocktails are a winner, they have an outer area that’s rustic and you feel as though you’re dining in a rural part of Italy with friends and it’s tucked away from the streets surrounded by brickwork and greenery along the walls. With the weather being a lot more warmer, it's lovely to be able to sit down and enjoy the weather while being food baby spoilt.

Have you eaten out post-lockdown? How has your experience been if so? Or if not, why not?
