There's no secret I have a soft spot for celebrity perfumes. Slight guilty pleasure, so when this fragrance by Michael Bublé arrived, I didn't know what to expect. For some reason I had a feeling it was going to be a strong musk, which I'm not keen of. Upon opening the parfum is within a ivory box with gold borders. The bottle speaks for itself, the bottle is suspended in a gold bracelet with a pull-off cap that'll remind you of the classic fragrance atomizers. Engraved on the bottom, you'll notice the MB signature, that's the only indication of a name, I like that, it's subtle but reminds you of a piece of jewellery that's been engraved by a loved one. The design is without a doubt feminine, elegant but sexy. By Invitation is a crisp floral-oriental fragrances.
Middle: Lily of the Valley, rose, peony and wild jasmine
Base: Patchouli, cedar wood, vanilla, praline, white amber and musk
That first spritz I can smell the bergamot, along with the musk...the lily of the valley starts to come through, the rose and Jasmine as the spicy peony begins to die down it leaves the creamy basenotes and the vanilla settles onto my skin. It's dreamy, sensual and warm.
