Another week, another look. Did I do one last week, don't think so. This wasn't planned because well my face isn't feeling it's best - a woman's burden as I call it has taken it's toll, I've been feeling quite bleh! My skin was showing it so what better way than to fake that good skin feeling with a brand new make-up tan!

I noticed that since I purchased Chinchilla by Lime Crime last year, I've not featured it in a make-up look. I've worn it out but haven't shared it with you until now! The horror.

Starting on a clean face I primed using Givenchy Mister Smooth Smoothing Primer* which I quite liked on first impression. It created a smooth canvas, I used a small amount on the key oily points and rubbed it in.

Givenchy Mister Radiant* & Barry M Flawless Matte Finsh Foundation these two I combined to give me that tanned look. The Mister Radiant is a gel and needs to be worked with quickly before it gets to that tacky dry. Honestly when it settled onto the skin with my foundation, I didn't have any dried patches or that sticky gel feeling. btw I applied these with my hands.

2 of my favourites. Pop the theBalm Mary Lou Manizer Luminizer on the high points, ran theBalm Betty-Lou Manizer around my face like a crazy lady.

Prime the lids with Urban Decay Primer Potion before taking a blending brush and applying MAC Cosmetics Beautiful Iris all over the lid, emphasising on the inner and outer corners. Taking NV Colour Lavender* and another blending brush I applied this to the centre of the lid. I then buffed out any transition that occurs between the last two in the crease. Taking Urban Decay Alien (Vice Palette) I put this through the crease, giving more colour to the inner corner than outer. Taking a thin angled brush I used MAC Cosmetics Nehru and gave a slight depth on the lash line and a slight wing and blended into the other shadows.

2 applications of the Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara* before popping on the ESQIDO false lashes *.

Finish off with Lime Crime Chinchilla Lipstick.

Lavender Smokey Eye Makeup

Zephyr joined me for the photo session. Quite fitting as inside the box was a sample of White Rabbit Skincare Toning Eye Cream.Made by hand this eye cream tightens, firms, reduces eye circles and puffiness and repairs damaged skin. It's packed with antioxidants and vitamins with ingredients such as Green Tea, Rosehip Oil, Sweet Almond Oil and Chamomile and Carrot Seed Essential Oils.

CoFresh Sour Cream and Chive Quinoa Chips, these were so delicious and I was gutted when they were finished. Quinoa is said to be a superfood so what a good way to include it than in a nice. I noticed while looking on the website I have seen the brand in Sainsbury's which makes me happy as it's very accessible for me to stock up on.

Freedom Mallows Choc Dip, my favourite marshmallows, this brand new product has a dark chocolate dipping sauce and soft and chewy vegan marshmallows to make the perfect combination. Couldn't be faulted. Some of my sauce was stolen to be put on pancakes.

FitBites Spirulina Stretch, 2 rolled balls full of 40% Apricots, 38% Medjool dates, 14% Almonds (nuts), 6% Coconut & 2% Spirulina. There are 3 different FitBites flavours, these make nice quick snacks or if you're peckish and want something healthy to nibble on.

Supernutrients Banana Powder, what I really like about this is that it can be added to my smoothies which I live for and the Supernutrients website has 16 different superfoods and some I'm interested in trying. I just wish that the website made it easier for ordering as it's not an add to cart but I can inform you that it does retail for £4.00.

I'd love to know if you've got any favourite healthy snacks?

Something new from me today, an app review but it's more so a lifestyle insight. One thing I've taken up is meditation. I don't find it to be an easy practice because being able to completely zone out, isn't something we can all master. Meditation to me is a practice of a more positive thinking, releasing of anxiety & tension, being able to concentrate deeply but without it feeling stressful. When I zone out, my body is light, coming out of the meditation it's something I don't experience in my other waking hours. I feel so relaxed, it takes me a moment to adjust to being back in the waking moment.

Headspace has been an app that has allowed me to practice this. UK founders Andy Puddicombe and Rich Pierson founded Headspace in 2010. I remember when I downloaded this app and I was told I would be meditating for 10 minutes. Straight away thoughts of 'This is going to be the longest 10 minutes' - Maybe I went into it already with negative thoughts but I was still open to the idea and that wasn't a bad choice. Andy is a former Buddhist monk, that for me makes it more trusting, to be guided by a person who has truly practised the art of meditation from a point of view that a lot of people feel is the origin of meditation.

I do mine in the bath. It's the only time I feel I can lay and not be disturbed being surrounded by candles, soaking in bath oils and inhaling essential oils. The 10 minutes go pretty quickly even I was shocked that I lay, soaking for 10 minutes - meditating. Some of the days will have very short animation before the 10 minutes start. Watch the animation and see what's going on...meditate on that.

Headspace offers 365 sessions of audio to be played daily over the course of the year. With everything there's training to become better, our brain is no different and this app reminds me of that daily practice becomes routine. Meditation is meant to be good for those with mental health & chronic pain.

Note:  This app gives you 10 free meditation plays, meant to be played consecutively over 10 days. After that you will be asked to sign up for a paid subscription monthly or annual payment, where subscribers will go onto 15 days of 15 mins, 20 of 20 mins and afterwards you are able to get more various meditation themes.

The end of last year and start of January I was doing some trial and error aka trying and testing some products.  Skincare needed to adjust in Winter, body scrubs are a addiction and smells are a necessity.

I've been trialling new skincare by a brand who contacted me, Riad of Aromas. My skin went from combination normal & oily to combination dry & oily to just dry. Thanks, confused winter. I was sent their rebalancing products Grapeseed & Ylang Ylang Rebalancing Face Cream* & Melissa & Rose Geranium Rebalancing Bio Mist Toner*, for combination, oily, combination- sensitive skin types. The cream has a medium texture so it doesn't feel heavy on the skin and it also seeps into the skin nicely leaving the skin feeling smooth & soothed. The grapeseed oil helps to regulate the skins natural oil. The toner mist can be used after cleansing, after a workout or long flight. Spray over the skin from an arm length and allow to naturally dry. Once it's sprayed it feels more hydrated, also noticed when it dries the skin feels semi-matte but not in a dry way. It gives a nice balance between the oily and dry combination moments my skin has.

I purchased this Boots Extracts Mango Sugar Scrub, in December, I've just over 1/4 left in the tub. Of course it smells lush, mangolicious. I use this before I'm about to shave for my laser hair removal as it's gentle and it gives a moisturising film over the leg. It might not feel good for some but I like it for what I use it for.
Warning :- yes, it contains mineral oil and make sure you clean the bath properly after use. It gets slippy!

Hearing about Soap & Glory Whipped Clean Shower Butter, I decided to give it a try, I liked the Nivea in shower moisturiser and the premise is the same. Work a small amount into your hands with water and lather up on the skin. I find it to be more rich than the Nivea brand and I like that. The smell of pistachio makes me hungry but addicted to use more. I still have to moisturise after a cleanse regardless, especially more now that my skin's become very sensitive. I would buy it again but I wouldn't die without it. Possibly because I've still got to do the next step of creaming all over my bodaaaay.

Developing a new routine, I've began Ashanga Yoga to start the day and to relax even more I roll this Aromatherapy Associates Instant Inner Strength* on my pulse points to have a scent that is calming as I'm moving.

Some of these products may have been sent to me for review. For more information, see my disclaimer.

Elizabeth Arden Red Door 25*

Red Door 25 a bold floral bouquet
I suppose it's no secret that I'm a fragrance lover. Still on the search for that me scent but while on the journey why not add something new to the collection. Red Door is named after the famous red door spas of Elizabeth Arden, first created in 1989, Red Door has seen various offsprings and the Red Door 25 is a limited jubilee fragrance for it's 25th anniversary last year.

Top Notes – Blackcurrant Nectar, Violet Leaf Absolute, Natural Rose Water Essential LMR*
Mid Notes – Turkish Rose Absolute LMR*, Rose Absolute LMR, Indian Jasmine Sambac Absolute LMR*
Base Notes – Pathcouli Heart LMR*, Honey, Sensual Musk

Having not smelt the original I cannot compare if there is any differences. On first spray to me it was boldly musky but within 2 minutes it started to die down and notes began to separate it started to smell feminine, slightly fruity and floral.

Get it on, flutter your lengthy more fuller lashes.

And for Him, he's got a few Dove products to get him face ready but of course if he's lucky you might let him use your Rituals...& Sanctuary products.

His & Her Beauty Beauty Box £14.95 + p&p

Latest in Beauty | His & Her Beauty Box

I stick to a lot of my primary skincare. I may add things here and there such as serum, face masks and scrubs. Quite like this post. I'm showing you what I've been using for my skin now that the cold weather really has taken effect and what extra boosts have helped keep my skin afloat.

This mask I found worked so good with my skin. You can leave it on overnight or 20 - 30 minutes and wipe off. I don't use it every night but if my skin during the day has been suffering with the cold then this is an overnight must. I was shocked the few times I used it overnight that in the morning I felt like I didn't even have to wash and cream my face, I still did of course! I was amazed at how well this worked on my combination skin but the again maybe I'm a little vitamin biased.

Over the years I've become a serum convert. Used at night and given an 8hr benefit for the skin, I love how my skin feels using this. This is a light oil texture, I drop at least 3-4 drops on my palm and use over my neck and face and my skin has a nice glow to it without it looking baking greased. Even with moisturiser on top the skin has a soft appearance and touch. I've been using this for a few weeks and I love how my skins been looking even more in winter.

From the bathroom. This weekly scrub - that I've been using twice weekly because I find it's that soft. It's not a gritty, rough scrub. I haven't experienced any tingling or scratching to the face. I'm hoping this helps to lighten slight pigmentation I had from a couple spots. The skin appears brighter after use, not red or irritated. I've not noticed this getting rid of the small amount of blackheads I can get on my nose but adding these products to my skincare routine has helped out nicely.

I've been trialling these sponges and cleansing in the morning using these. I wet my skin and start to rub my chosen cleanser over my face before taking a sponge and I start from my forehead and work down and use the sponge to give my skin a deep cleanse. Pleasantly surprised how this aided the skin in more of a deep scrub on the skin it also gave me a gentle exfoliation.

Have you added any products to your winter routine?

Winter Skin | Moisture Boost.

GlamGlow is quite expensive. £45 - £50 for a face mask and that's cool, if you want to throw down the bucks for it but when noticing most the ingredients of the Supermud is in my home already, it makes sense to just make it raw and straight to the nitty gritty. That's what I did and messy job slightly but it works.

Here are the benefits of the ingredients listed in this mask:

· Activated Charcoal (normally made from willow bark) helps to reduce acne due to the fact that it removes toxins. Any other skin problems you probably can help fix and improve. It's good for make-up removal. Want to make sure that makeup is out of those pores - try it.
· Coconut Oil Helps to retain your skins moisture, softens the skin, protects the skin from infections.
· Bentonite Clay reduces inflammation, helps to reduce blemishes and heal eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis.
· Aloe Vera anti-inflammatory, stimulates growth of new cells, minimal scarring. Anti-ageing.
· Chamomile Tea anti inflammatory (helps reduce redness & swelling) & helps dermatitis & eczema.
· Peppermint Oil astringent, antiseptic and anti inflammatory. Diminish the appearance of acne, blackheads, rashes and redness.
· Eucalyptus Oil antiseptic. Good for those with oily complexions and acne.
· Lemon Oil astringent, good for oily, acne prone skin. Helps to reduce pores, blackheads and even the skin tone.
· Tea Tre Oil antiseptic. Helps spots, dark spots and blemishes & helps to refine pores.

You'll Need
· 6 tsp Charcoal ( edit : you might want to use less charcoal )
· 1/4 cup Bentonite Clay
· 2 tbsp Coconut Oil
· 1 tbsp Aloe Vera
· 4 oz Chamomile Tea or Green Tea
· 3 Drops Peppermint Oil
· 2 Drops Eucalyptus Oil
· 2 Drops Lemon Essential Oil or Salicylic Acid
· 2 Drops Tea Tree Oil

· Seep 1 chamomile tea bag in about 4 oz of hot water and let it sit.
· Melt coconut oil into liquid.

· Cut the capsules in half and pour contents into the bowl.
· Proceed to add the ingredients into the bowl (BUT not the tea just yet).
· At this point you can add any of the optional oils as well - of course I used every oil.
· Slowly add the cooled tea into the mixture and whisk until a creamy texture.
· Deposit into a container and put into the fridge for roughly an hour. I put mime in the cupboard with an air vent to cool slower.
Yes it's got you black face in your feelings staring at the final produce. It's a nice mask, smooth and sets nicely. I apply this and leave on for around 10 minutes and rinse off my face. Beware it's a messy product to make and use. Make sure you've got your cleaning products nearby.

It costs roughly £30 depending where you shop & for the amount of ml you get of ingredients. I have these oils already for skincare use already I just didn't have the charcoal but the seller I got from eBay was good and prompt with my package and you get soo much.
You can get most these ingredients from from Holland and Barrett or Naturally Thinking online. The others I got off eBay Activated Charcoal & Calcium Bentonite Clay. I prefer to have the ingredients on hand for any further batch ups that might need doing. Works out better to just go to the kitchen than having to order online repeatedly.

I keep it in a cool place. Not in direct sunlight, keep cool or in the fridge.

Do you want to try Laa Glow?

- Yes lol, I tried it with the rename and what?!

DIY GlamGlow Face Mask

Every new year it's the same thing. Most people want to get into the fitness and health kick. I suppose I've been no different. With the help of New Look I have got a few bits from their fitness range.

I went for items that make it easier while I'm exercising and sweating. The vest I got in a large so I haven't got anything but my sports bra clinging on to me. The trainers remind me over another brands popular line of trainers and for the fraction of the cost. Light weight and another pair that allow the feet to breathe.

Another thing that is as important with a workout is the music, right? I need music all day no matter what! Below I'm sharing with you a latest playlist of mine on Spotify. These songs range from uptempo to ones for the warm-up and cool down.

New Look Fitness

Winter reeks havoc on a lot of us and it's normally the same culprits. My hair has to find an adjustment coming from a more warmer climate and then all of a sudden it's so cold and wearing it out means more frizz, possibly damp and more wash days occur, ugh! Also with the hair being colour treated and soon to be getting more it needs to be kept in good condition. I notice my hair lacks a lot of moisture and various buns and braids come into play to keep the hair safe and also not to keep it in the same hairstyle repeatedly.  You might be thinking KeraStraight but your hair is curly!? I know but with these products, it really didn't matter.

KeraStraight Moisture Mask* £25 (100ml)
Repair / Renew / Hydrate
My hair is obviously in need in a lot of this and I'm already using another protein weekly treatment so mid week I put this in after my shampoo. It's very, very light. Almost water textured so I glide it through the 4 sections I've created and evenly apply it from root and especially paying attention to the tips, I also use a wide tooth comb to distribute it thoroughly. Pin it up and pop a shower cap on for about 20 minutes, rinse out and condition - leave in conditioner, continue with my routine. I have noticed when I leave it to air dry the ends aren't as frizzy and this seems to give it a little added moisture it does need. I'm still using this as a weekly treatment and it's definitely not harmed the hair.

Aqua, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyltrimethylammonium Chloride, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Chloride (And), Astrocaryum Murumuru Butter, Aqua, Glycerin, Carob Bean Extract, Starch, Sodium Benzoate, Potassium Sorbate, Polyquaternium 7, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethicone, Laurdimonium Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum, Moringa Oleifera Leaf Extract, Polyquaternium-37, Theobroma Grandiflorum Seed Butter, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methyllisothiazolione, Magnesium Chloride, Magnesium Nitrate.

KeraStraight Ultimate Oil* £30 (100ml)
Lightweight / Nourish / Shine
My hair absolutely loves oil. Especially when straight, as I'm kicking back on blowdrys for most this year, I've not yet experienced what it's like on my straight hair but I've used this as a seal. It's amazingly light and as anything heavy it leaves my curls looking weighed down and greased to be baked, this is perfect to give the curls just that added boost of shine. The hair is left soft to touch and smells *inhales*. Whenever I do a twist out, I put this in my hands and untwist and whatever is left on my hand, run it through the hair. Perfect for me!

Dimethicone, Cyclopentasiloxane, Dimethiconol, Phenyltrimethicone, Cyclomethicone, Hydrogenated Jojoba Oil, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Parfum, Wheat Germ Oil, Isohexadecane, Cocos Nucifera, Rosmarinus Officinalis, Helianthus Annus Seed Oil, Linium Usitatissimum Seed Oil, Persea Gratissima Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Olea Europaea Fruit Oil, CI47000.

KeraStraight Moisture Mist* £19.50 (250ml)
Detangle / Hydrate / Revitalise
This one is targeted at hair that is dry, damaged and chemically treated. Well 2/3 for me right now isn't bad so it's perfect spray to bring back some moisture. Especially on the rare days of a leave out, the moisture that's already there is sucked out and the air seems to think it can try suck out more that's not even there. I find by the afternoon my hair can need a boost (btw this isn't being used in conjunction with the ultimate oil) having lighter hair, I notice that with curls frizz and dryness is just so much more noticeable. Therefore keeping it looking luscious is a task. I'm always worried about using 'mists' on my hair because I think 'Yeah, 'mist', more like drench' the curls might end up being dragged down and Beyoncé Grammy Dog Hair performance looking. It doesn't. It reminds me of a light mask or if you was to mix your conditioner and water in a spray bottle and it really does mist out and you can section the hair like I do to make sure it targets each section and it doesn't drench it so the curls are still in tact and it's more moisturised and there's a slight shine to it - not bad! You can use this on towel dried hair and continue onto the rest of your hair routine but I prefer to keep this as a pick me up for my hair.

Water/Aqua/Eau, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Silicone Quaternium-16, Keratin, Hydrolyzed Keratin, Cystine Bis-Pg-Propyl Silanetriol, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein Pg-Propyl Silanetriol, Hydrolyzed Vegetable Protein Pg-Propyl Silanetriol, Xylitylglucoside, Anhydroxylitol, Xylitol, Ppg-3 Benzyl Ether Myristate, Undeceth-11, Undeceth-5, Fragrance/Parfum, Butyloctanol, Sodium Benzoate, Methylisothiazolinone, Linalool, Alpha Iso-Methyl Ionone, Limonene, Hydroxycitronellal, Coumarin, Citronellol.

Do you have any moisture tips?

Dear Cashmere,

You're going to be my most unused Velvetine but most used.
I love you that much but can't deal with waiting for you!

A greige enthusiast.

This post isn't about my love for Lime Crime's Cashmere. Even though I really do love it. This post is a little run down on my go-to look. I think every woman gets to a point in her life where she knows what she likes and with make-up it's no exception. People may feel because I am a make-up artist that I should do the utmost with my face and while sometimes I do, this is where I'm most comfortable with a glow on my face. Maybe it has to do with the Jennifer Lopez obsession I've had since last century.
I've been revisiting the Monu Professional Skincare Illuminating Primer SPF15*. I remember the first time I used this and take it from me a little is best. It took me awhile to warm up to this and get use to it. First time I looked ghostly. If anything pair it with your moisturiser and continue your make-up for a nice healthy boost to the skin. I've not used this on darker skin tones, so I'm not sure how it'll look.
( should try on my mum )
It gives me a smooth finish and it brightens the skin up. I tend to bring it along the points where I'd like more of an illuminating look, temples, cheeks, smack bam on my forehead.

I love these two bitches, theBalm Betty-Lou Manizer & theBalm Mary Lou Manizer Luminizer. There one of my everyday rollin' with the homies combination. Betty-Lou is a medium - dark bronzer with a deep golden shimmer to it. You really do not want to pack your brush with this, just don't do it. Little and build - to be honest that's just my opinion on bronzers but you'll have more control. I wouldn't say this is great for fairer skin tones, it'll come off looking dirty. I don't contour with this due to the shimmer but along the temples and hairline I will use Betty-Lou.

Mary Lou, Mary, well, you're a pretty lady for sure. For a shimmer once again like it's sister you only want a little, great for the cupids bow, sometimes on the high points of my cheeks. Gives such a nice subtle and when the light hits it, makes everything prominent and glowing out the A! I've seen this on darker skin tones and it gives it a nice champagne appearance.

Both these products you get a lot out of. Jesus, I don't know when I'll see the pan but that's a good thing of course. Due to the pigmentation you really don't want a lot so these are good investments.

Givenchy Poudre Bonne Mine - Extreme Croisiere* of course I've got the deeper toned bronzed. Poudre Bonne Mine is a gel baked - talc free powder. This is the darkest out of this collection and was gifted to me by Givenchy (thank you) and it's just extremely beautiful. It's dark but it's so delicate on the skin and can be built up to an off the yacht St Tropez glow. Absolutely adore it and just look at the design of this bronzer.

I was introduced to Mii Cosmetics a good few years ago and since then have been getting re-purchases, like this Mii Cosmetics Mineral Divine Illuminator - Pure Brilliance to be honest due to this being a mineral and the pigmentation it's another, little goes a long way item. This I actually use near the apples of my cheeks. You just swoosh a kabuki and tap off excess and go for it. Also can be used over your bodies high points. This has a nice subtle peachy pink appearance.
Breaks up some of the bronzing.

A new addition is Topshop Glow Highlighter in Polish*. What I like about creamy products is they make a good base for making powders last longer (duh!) I start off with this champagne toned highlighter on my cheeks to illuminate if I don't use the primer above. Then blend in with my fingers and put the Mary Lou on top. I like the combination they work well. This I put on my cupids bow - slightly. I've noticed too much and people start looking like sweaty lips ahem! Great for those with dry skins especially if you find powders make you look caked.

There you have it, homies.
