Peachy Keen is from the Up & Away Collection...I actually purchased this on Ebay from the USA (£4) last month but haven't got round to wearing it. I used two coats of the China Glaze - Peachy Keen. To me it's very peachy and can come off orange in some light.
It's kind of got me wanting to eat a peach now lol. Does anybody own anything from the China Glaze Peachy Keen Collection ?
I decided on getting only two just incase I wasn't fond of them etc. I choose: Apricot Punch & Strawberry Fizz.
I didn't use a top coat, for the simple fact, I think it may disguise the smell. It does say that it is chip resistant. Yet when I purchased it last Tuesday & by Thursday morning it was chipping off like crazy. I don't know if that's due to the fact of hot baths & looking after animals all day *thinks*
I have to say it does try very fast so there's a pro. I only need to use two coats, I've found one isn't enough as it still can be quite streaky, that might just be me.
I don't think the smell's are meant to represent fresh fruit, but more of a sweetie type fruit. That's what I've got from the smell.
The Strawberry Fizz is not as strong as the Apricot Punch. The Apricot Punch I find I can smell a lot more than the Strawberry Fizz.
I wouldn't say they are very plastic smelling but if your not fond of the smell your not going to be able to stomach it for long.
When I was wearing the Strawberry Fizz last week I noticed that the smell did begin to fade but it wasn't a strong smell to start off with so I'd have to see how the Apricot Punch fairs up .
Would I buy again : Yes most definitely, I may just get the rest of the shades.
Luxe Lavender & Vintage Blue
I do love the way Vintage Blue comes out it gives me that feel of when you would classically have a baby boy's nursery in this shade with white furniture. It's amazing how a colour can give you so much to think & dream of lol but I do love the colour.
The perfect mild shade of purple in my eyes. I adore how right it looks with my skin-tone.
Petrol Black & Kingfisher
Barry M Dazzle Dust. Like hello ?! Why didn't I have these shades before..love the look of Kingfisher, it goes so well with other colour's that I have already. Reminds me of an aquarium lol. & Petrol black..well you gotta love the look of spilt petrol with the hints of the purple & blue & that's exactly how Petrol black looks...another smokey eye ideal product I think so.
Light Red & Fire Coral
I love red, red nail polish, red lips, red clothes...there is something about this colour that is very appealing and striking to me.
I wear red so deal with it lol. The Fire Coral I have already done a NOTD on, I found it's hard to get it's true colour to show,
it's more of a deeper orange/red coral, hence I'm guessing that's why they have fire in the name.
Lilac & Mint Cream.
These two I'm still yet to try out as I did buy two that are similar but I do love those kind of pastel colour's. They just have a vintage feel to them.
Smokey Brown, Desert Haze & Innocent.
Out of the three Innocent is going to be the first one to finish, I love this colour it has to be my favourite. It comes out a nude brown & in some lights appears ever so slightly pink. The other two I am yet to try but this just means more NOTD ! I have to stop buying more nail polish than I can wear but not bad for £1.50 each & free P&P.
I'm not too fussy when it comes to brands of Nail Varnish, I'll try them all out once. I just can't deal with the watery nail varnish yuck.
ELF Cosmetics a few weeks ago had a code for spend more than £10 get free P&P and I thought what the heck, I've turned into such a nail varnish hoarder can't harm to get some more so I ordered 7 and well that should keep me occupied enough with my NOTD.
As you can see when I did my nail's during the week I decided not to keep them plain and added some black dots, I think my nails look like a ladybird now - awww love 'em lol.
The first image above was taking indoors.
While this one was taken outside, it's been so grey in the UK as of late so not much sun or great outdoor light but you can get the gist.
This is after two coats.
What I used :
Seche Clear Crystal Clear Base Coat
2 Coats of ELF Fire Coral - Purchase Here
Sharpie Permenant Marker
Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.
-side note. I haven't done any makeup posts as I'm using PanOxyl at the moment to get rid of some stubborn spots and to be honest I just want to focus on that before messing around in the vanity box, but hopefully by next week things shall resume .
Now the weather has changed in the U.K. to something of our normal British summer... grey skies & scattered showers it might be nice to have a finger up our nose and smelling summer instead lol.
They come in four shades & obviously SMELLS:
We got our lovely peach : Punchy Peach, Cranberry Zest anyone !?! Unusual scent if you ask me. Lemon Drop mmm zesty, now I love citrus smelling things and it's not such a vibrant yellow it's mellow yellow - like me & finally we have Strawberry Zest
Now I think I may be sold on the idea to try this out seeing as I don't think I have ever seen or heard of a scent based nail varnish!? These are being sold for £3 each at any Rimmel selling stores or on ASOS
So I used two Sleek Palettes to create this purple look, the Graphite & Circus Limited Edition Palettes.
On my entire lid I used the darkest purple in the circus palette and then used the Graphite palette's purple for my outer V & I forgot to mention on the above picture I also used a little black to define the outer V, added some black liner above and on my water line and not to forget took the circus purple and used it under my lower lash line too.
On my lips I used E.L.F. Cosmetics Super Glossy Lip Shine in Goddess that I got free in a little handbag package of 3 lip glosses with my last order of nail varnishes [ post soon to come ]
Eyebrows okay let's say I'm quite obsessed with them, I find them to be one of the most important features on a face.
Just the shape can add or take away quite a lot when it comes to how your face looks. My friends often laugh at me because when I notice someone I comment on their eyebrows, in person or in photos. It's one of the first things I seem to look at.
A good few months ago me and Rai were discussing eyebrows on twitter and I said to her I was going to do a post on my history with eyebrows.
Growing up when I first ever did something to my eyebrows I used a razor lol! I wanted to have 'lovely' eyebrows for my school picture that was also going to be on my 11th birthday so that is how I took off half my eyebrow and had my mum running around late at night for late night pharmacies to get me an eyebrow pencil & suffice to say I did not know how to use that so I practically drew on my eyebrows like I was using a crayon. I do have a picture of it but I decided to put my glasses on that day so the round frames I had covered it so I didn't bother to scan it. - oh the horror.
So this is my eyebrow picture history if you will.
This is how my eyebrows ORIGINALLY were, the picture was taken when I was 6.
The above photo was when I was 15 and once again did nothing but OVER PLUCK!! How terrible it's short and thin and no shape urgh what was I thinking [ okay but then again I knew no better ]
The summer of 2006 I was 18 and not long after this I decided I was going to grow out my eyebrows and it took roughly 2 months for them to fully grow back and I decided to get them waxed for the first time.
Resulting in this...
I kept up this until I went back and got them waxed again in 2008 but my normal waxer wasn't there and another woman ended up making on so much more thinner than the other resulting in me having to grow them out but I didn't want to get them waxed again after that lol.
So late 2008 after doing another grow out, I taught myself to thread. Leading to money saving and the satisfaction of saying ' I did it myself ' when people ask who had done my eyebrows. In saying this it has not stopped my love affair to always change the shape time and time again and I'm still prone to the odd 'grow out' and restart.
BUT I did end up one day when re-doing my eyebrows taking a chunk out of my eyebrow eeek. That's what I get for doing my eyebrows when tired & pissed off....
They say when doing your eyebrows to follow your natural shape and never pluck the above hairs etc.
Okay well to me rules are to be broken, yes I do agree NOW with the follow your natural shape, I generally think it's what works best for your shape don't force something that it isn't. I thread above my eyebrows and trim them to get them all to one length and so there is no stray hairs
So I will be going through an 'infamous' grow out but not to a large degree more shaping while growing and filing in so what will I be filling in with...
Well there's several weapons of choice :
In honesty I'm not a huge eyebrow pencil person, powders I'm more content with including eyeshadow's I find it easier to use.
Not long ago I got the brow enhancer from AVON that I still need to review !
When it comes to eyebrows I prefer them to be full, not caterpillars and certainly the overplucking just needs to stop.
Katie Price [ aka Jordan ] - Britain's so called answer to Pamela Anderson.... kind of got an Elvira thing happening but the heavily drawn on eyebrows are not helping any cause.
The worlds most famous swimsuit wearer Pamela Anderson [ I'm actually a guilty pleasured fan ] has always sported the pencil thin eyebrows, it's all we've ever seen or known. But these type of eyebrows still get a huge [X] from me.
But what's your weapon of choice when it comes to eyebrows ?
Do you wax, tweeze, thread or even shave ? Do you even fill them in & extend them if so what do you use ?
Thursday I went on the Wilkinson Sword website and found they were having an introductory sale at £7.99 plus you get free P&P if you spend over £10 so I added the Activ Gel to my order.
This morning my order came..quite fast for free P&P and a late Thursday order.
I love the inside packing lol, I love pink - yes I love pink. It looks quite 70s retro. I even got some sweeties ( how sweet ) travel bag and the supplied battery is attached on the back of the cardboard that the razor is attached to! You twist the center of the razor to open up the battery compartment! You press the button on and let go...easy enough!
On one end you have the trimmer. You remove the comb to clean the blades after every use. On the other end you have your 4 bladed razor.
I'm going to be having fun trying this out lol, yes my days are getting to the point that I'm excited to use a new razor. All in all I had a good experience purchasing from Wilkinson Sword. When they send you the confirmation email they even send you a preview image of your order so you know what you're getting, pretty good huh!?

I purchased these hair masks in April from a seller in Hong Kong on Ebay they cost me £7 roughly each & the P&P was free so it was a good bargain and I received my items within a week.
The seller also posted what each hair masks does and how to establish which hair mask suits you best.
How to Choose between Kao Essential NUANCE AIRY (image on the left) and Kao Essential RICH PREMIER (image on the right)

This hair mask provides intensive care, especially for the prone last 15cm of hair, which is most prone to dryness, tangles and split ends caused by chemical treatments and styling. It penetrates deeply into hair core to repair and moisturize, without the heavy feel, so hair becomes easy to manage and style.
Formulated with 3X more* honey & milk protein to protect and strengthen. Plus Shea Butter to repair and moisturize. Penetrates deeply into hair core to repair and moisturize. Keeps hair soft and moisturized.
My hair as of late since I've decided that yes I'm going to stop being lazy and I'm going to get my hair trimmed every 6-8 weeks, as I am now growing out my layers and growing my hair I want to keep it as healthy as possible. I'd be mortified if I got it to the length I want it and had to chop it off due to dry and broken ends.
This was my hair before it was washed, a little bit dry and my ends looked static lol! I'm not a big shampoo washer if that at all, I just wash and wash with conditioner, doesn't dry my hair out so much.
After I have washed I then apply the Kao Essential Ultra Honey & Shea Butter for the first time I used the Rich Premier, I worked it from the ends up and went through it with a wide tooth comb before wrapping it around!
Then putting clingfilm over it and wrapping it around to do a home steam treatment.
I think I left it on roughly for about 6hours and then washed it out and I was pretty happy with the outlook of my hair even when it was around 75% dry.
Had an nice shine to it and was very soft..it has to be one of my favourite hair masks I've invested in.
