The Restored

It’s never too late to begin thinking about your health, the sooner the better. For the past 11 years, I’ve been a pescitarian, at times I think it’s helped my health but there is something that I like to call ‘a bad vegetarian’ and that is something that I can say I’m classified as. And this is why I want to introduce you to the foundations of health by The Restored, their philosophy is – the foundations of health; Sleep, Nutrition, Movement & Mindset.

Everybody deserves to be healthy and The Restored understand this. This doesn’t have to be a difficult concept and their aim is to make sure it’s about focusing on all the right things. The Restored have created a simple way for us to improve our health and make us noticeably better.

The Restored is a new health start-up, that is passionate about combining products and practical guidance to help us feel significantly better. Focus on the 20% of effort that will govern 80% of your results – I mean, c’mon how amazing does that sound? – it’s all about implanting lifestyle habits. In August 2019, The Restored are launching a range of innovative health products – that include supplements, equipment and supporting content to help us be the best version of ourselves.

Things that we do, to make ourselves feel better aren’t going to work as good if we aren’t getting the correct balance. Working out in the gym 7 days a week for 2 hours each day won’t give the best benefits if we don’t have good nutrition and bad sleep. Although there are four foundations of health, there is always one that we can improve a lot more on to feel noticeably better. I took this quiz to find out which foundation should be my main focus. Mine (not too shockingly) is Nutrition. Did you know our health, mood and energy is dictated by what we eat?

“We need more than 20 vitamins and minerals each day for good health, but modern living makes it hard to get all of those from food.”

I’m aiming in the next 8 weeks to be on the road to feeling noticeably better within myself, The Restored is going to help me with its guidance and tips thanks to it’s website. It couldn’t be easier, once you know why you need to & introducing 2 new habits: -

Why is it so important to restore your nutrition?
- B Vitamins are essential for maintaining a healthy liver, nervous system, skin and hair
- Vitamin K and B vitamins support a healthy heart
- Vitamins A, C and E support eye health
- B vitamins boost energy and reduce stress and anxiety
- Vitamins C, D and E strengthen the immune system and reduce allergy symptoms
Aim for 2 litres of water per day. Here’s a few tips on how to ensure it’s done:
- Each time your water glass or bottle is finished, refill straight away.
- Link drinking water to another daily habit. E.g. make sure you drink with every meal.
- Make it more interesting. Why not add a slice of lemon?
Vegetables. Aim for at least 5 portions a day. A few tips on how to get those veggies in daily:
- Smoothies – they are always jam packed with veg.
- Try a vegetarian chilli?
- Soups are an excellent way to consume multiple servings of vegetables at once.

If there is one thing out of those two that I do frequently, is drink a lot of water. I think I need to get a larger reusable water bottle because while at work sometimes I don’t have time to refill my water bottle as quickly as I’d like to do. I always know when I’ve not drank enough because you can get an indication from the colour of your urine, I always aim for it to be a clear to pale yellow colour. I need to focus on more vegetables.

Certain vegetables & fish give our body so much benefits thanks to their vitamins, visibly, internally and mentally. Hair, green vegetables, salmon and beans. Brain, salmon, tuna sardines. Lungs, broccoli & brussel sprouts. Bones, celery. With a healthy diet our mind-set is also very different due to how we feel, we begin to give ourselves self-acceptance, more energy, better digestive system, longer lifespan, healthier body. This all can start with eating fresh food and whole grains, organic food and drinking plenty of water. Doesn’t sound so hard does it? Even easier with The Restored’s guidance.

I'd love for you to take this quiz← and let me know below↓ what area in the foundation of health that you too, need to focus on.
