Save or Splurge box - Lipstick

Save or Splurge Box Round Two, (if you missed round one, which was about mascara's read here) it's all about lipsticks we have two drug store brands and a high end brand that's favourited by a lot. The other two I don't tend to hear too much about but let's see which I preferred out of the three.

Bargain Under £5
SEVENTEEN Stay Pout Lipstick in Delinquent £4.49

What they say :
SEVENTEEN Stay Pout is the longwear lip colour with stain you need , for hours of kiss proof colour!!

What I say :
It adds a nice sheen to the lips, it has a smooth application and nice even pigmentation, it's also has a nice moisturising feeling. This is the first time I have used any Seventeen products, even though this brand has been around for so long, it's a shame I've missed the brand for so long. When wiping this off, I did notice that the colour does stain just a tad, but it makes for that much more of a lasting wear. I'm certainly going to look for more shades in this range.

Mid-range Under £10
Soap & Glory Super Colour Fabulipstick Powdercoat Matte Lipstick in Pom Pom £9.00

What they say :
Soap & Glory Super Colour Matte Lipstick is collagen boosting lipstick In a POWDERCOAT™ MATTE FINISH for velvety, pigment-rich colour which fixes to lips for ultra-long wear.

What I say :
Besides bath & body products, Soap & Glory do make-up. I've never tried their make-up range before so I decided to give a lippe from them a good try. It's smooth and this too has a nice moisturising feel to it. The colour isn't so bad but as I picked this one blindly (online shopping) I can't complain, it even has a nice vanilla smell to it.

High-End Under £20
Illamasqua Lipstick in Brink £18.50

What they say :
Let your lips speak volumes. Indulge in colour-intense lipstick with a highly pigmented formula, available in a choice of flawless finishes, from creamy matt to iridescent finishes. Illamasqua Lipstick glides on smoothly and doesn't give up without a fight for the perfect all-night pout.

What I say :
I know that Illamasqua are great for their lipsticks but I'm starting to think, their matte lipsticks are just not for me in the long run. I adore this shade, I can think of some looks to use it in, but the lipstick gets too dry in the inner parts of the mouth and starts to disintegrate towards my lip line and with it being dry, it just looks like it's cracking. I need a bit more moisture even if it's matte, it is possible.

I'd definitely have to say that the 17 lipstick wins this round, with the S&G second. Might be an unpopular opinion but based on my lips experience in comparison with all three, it's a winner.
