This has 3 active ingredients, Orange Peel Oil -Naturally calms skin irritation ,Star Anise Oil - Anti-oxidant with anti-wrinkling properties & Damask Rose Oil - Calms, hydrates and moisturises skin. I find the rose scent to be prominent but not overbearing, gives a nice relaxing scent when using it. As the colder days as drawing in, I'm finding that I'm reaching for it a bit more during the evening. My skin can go from normal / combination - normal / dry quickly and needs protection and repairing.
Creamy on application but once rubbed into the skin it gives a nice silk touch, not a heavy film at all and it's ready for the muslin cloth -(you can purchase this online too or get a set that includes a cloth). You do not want the water to be scorching hot, you don't want to do any extremes as this can only damage your skin. Make sure it's warm enough that it can warm the skin and melt the cleanser further and help to remove any impurities lurking in your skin. Afterwards continue with your normal routine. I have used this around the eyes, I've not had any irritation or ' my eyes are burning!!' moments. I couldn't comment on waterproof mascara as I don't wear any.
The only downfall? The pump, it's quite stiff and the product seems to be hard to work up and out of the bottle. Besides that, it's pretty faultless.
