Help leave skin looking fabulous, my backside!! Noted this isn't the first time I've used this, I have been using it for the duration of September so what I can't grasp is, what went wrong?
-Edit, forgot to mention : I put aloe vera juice on my face afterwards to cool it but it burnt it more so I had to wash it off, put antiseptic cream on which stung but I kept it on with the hopes of it getting better, but since it's got worse ( that image was taken this morning )
As of 01/10/12 I did bring this to the attention of the company.

As seen on various blogs & magazines {
Bloody hell!
ReplyDeleteYou do here from time to time that people get mad rections of products that they have used. So it could be that, but it sounds major extreem.
I would write to them and inform them of it
Yeah, I find it extremely odd that I've used it for the past month and all of a sudden, nearly took my skin off. Won't be putting that on again anytime soon. Yeah I shall definitely inform them, thank you honey.
DeleteOh my fuckin god! I first thought it's a really dark blush on a really odd place & then I read it. Happened to me once, but in a slightly different way - I drank a black currant juice (it wasnt the first time) & at the end of the day my face went up in flames. It literally got little blisters on it, took me friggin 4 years to get totally rid of it, because it developed into a really weird sort of acne. Urgh. Apparently it was a reaction on some 'accidental chemical spillage' that got into that particular box. If it was now, Id have taken them to court lol. The best thing that helped me was chamomille tea bag (put it into hot water as if makin tea, take it out, leave it cool down and slap it on it for a few minutes). It dries skin out (so its gonna flake eventually) but it soothes it and gets rid of the redness! Hope you gonna be okay soon xxxx
ReplyDeleteOh thank you so much for your tip. I will definitely try that tonight but OMG, 'accidental cheimcal spillage' how casual & normal (!) ridiculous, can't tell somebody that like it's nothing! Blimey 4 years eeek that's so bad, so glad it's better now though. Thank you honey xoxo
DeleteMy god, is it still sore, it looks really painful? As you say, odd that it's only just happened after using for a month. Could be to do with hormones?
ReplyDeletehttp://polishpamperpose.blogspot.co.uk/
Yeah it's still sore, smiling and laughing hurts cos it's pulls the skin taut *sighs* it's really weird, believe me I'm still bewildered as I've used nothing different in my routine while using it so no chemical reactions etc. The company have been extremely helpful though! Wish I could say it was hormones but I've used this from my last cycle and it helped clear up my skin so *shrugs*
DeleteOh dear, a bloggers worst nightmare, hope it heals soon hun. Good thing u informed the company!
ReplyDeleteYes, definitely didn't need that one to happen this week - of all weeks this year *sobs* The company have been wonderful I must say! Thanks honey.
DeleteOUCH! That's made my hair stand on end xx
ReplyDelete24 hours later and it's still such a boo boo situation :( xo
DeleteOh my goodness that looks painful. And your skin is quite dark so for it to show up like that it must be bad. I wish I had some tips for you but I certainly haven't had this kind of reaction before xx
ReplyDeleteAw, that's ok honey! Yes, it's sticking out like a sore thumb on my face right now *sighs* xo
DeleteOh no, LaaLaa thats awful :-( (I had a really bad reaction to Boots No7 self tan and theor microdermabrasion once, wont use their skin products ever again.) Hope you are ok now?xx
ReplyDeleteIt might be the limonene that's in the ingredients list, it can oxidise in moist air to form limonene oxide which is a skin irritant. Limonene is a natural hydrocarbon in the rinds of citrus fruits that gives them their smell so it's not really a bad ingredient it's probably just an unfortunate coincidence. I hope it heals soon though!
ReplyDeletei've had a very similar issue: try scraping you're hair back and layering sudacrem over it before bed. make sure you have a thick layer on. in the morning, anything that isn't absorbed should be wiped off with either a sensitive baby wipe or luke water and a flannel. if that doesn't work, i don't know anything that will!x
ReplyDeletethat looks awful, hope it sorts out quick! :( skin is a terribly sensitive thing, especially as it changes every couple of days! :(
ReplyDeleteOh.. I feel sorry to hear that. Is it due to an allergy? Use the contact us form of the product website and try to point out your issue. I think they might know the reason. By the way, how is the burnt mark now? Is it gone or still there?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure, as I used it prior and was fine so I'm not 100% sure what went wrong but I did contact them and have got such speedy replies and feedback and sent the product back to be tested which is currently happening right now. The burn mark isn't as red but it's noticeable when my skin gets quite hot
