Samaya Pitta Hydrating Cleanser

A few weeks before Christmas I began using the Samaya Pitta Hydrating Cleanser, which came about after I was asked if I’d like to do trial and review the range, having a read about the products, I loved the sound of the ingredients. Even more so after my post on venturing more into Ayurvedic rituals, this tied in perfectly. I was asked to answer questions to “Discover your Dosha” and it determines what is my dominant dosha.

What’s Dosha?

Dosha is the name given to the energies that govern every individual, there’s primarily three types of dosha: Vata, Pitta and Kapha.
Each type corresponds to a set of physical and emotional traits, some individuals find that they’re a combination of two, sometimes in rare cases three! But when our particular dosha is balanced, our mind, body and soul are in perfect harmony, which is seen through healthy, radiant skin.

“Being aware of our dosha type means we can make choices to help balance these energies to achieve wellness, peace and calm, all of which contribute to younger-looking, stress-free, beautiful skin.”

Pitta Hydrating Cleanser

The cleanser itself is a medium lotion with a floral but sweet scent, smells very natural as it should because the ingredients are mind blowing when I read just some of them being Jasmine, Neem, Lotus, Turmeric, Saffron, Shatavari and Gotu Kola - I was even more so anticipating using this cleanser. I like to use an oil or a natural lotion cleanser to remove any dirt/makeup as it's gentle and pure as is this. free from parabens, sulphates, PEGs, TEA, DEA, propylene glycol, phthalates, petrochemicals, synthetic colour, synthetic fragrances, mineral oils and silicones. . Comes with a pump but I find the pump to be quite difficult, it doesn't pump well, I'm not sure if it's mine only but I tend to just screw the top off and take product off the stem which serves me fine.

How I Use

On dry skin, I massage the product for roughly a minute, working it down onto my neck also. I will let my muslin cloth sit in some warm water during this time and wring out and wipe away. My skin is left moisturised, soft and clean without any harsh procedures. I typically use this twice or once a day depending if I'm going to using my magnitone to cleanse like I do once or twice a week.

Once thing I've noticed I've not broken out since using this *touch wood* the only times I've broken out was after I plucked my brows - tends to happen but it settles within a couple days. I've been using The Ordinary skincare along with this and my glycolic cleanser with my magnitone. Who knows? Is it this cleanser helping to balance out my skin? I'd really like to think it's helping to contribute. I know the price is going to give some eyes a widening experience - it did the same to me. Due to the ingredients & it's also British made it's got some great ingredients for the skin and to help even skin tone, which is always welcome to me. Thumbs up SAMAYA & thank you for balancing my Dosha.
