Creme of Nature - Argan Oil Review

Curly hair can be fuss free for me but I also find it expensive. I'm always looking for alternative cheaper products which in retrospect ends up being costly and sometimes unnecessary. I was watching a video by NaturalNeiicey and noticed the salon was using a lot of Creme of Nature products, a brand I've not used before so I decided to give it a go as the products are quite budget friendly. After doing a little searching online I noticed that some review were saying that those who could benefit from the Creme of Nature line are those with frequently and heavily relaxed, curled, or coloured, extensively damaged, particularly course so hoping onto Pak Cosmetics, I placed an order in October.

Creme Of Nature Argan Oil Sulfate Free Moisture And Shine Shampoo 354ml £2.99

Aqua (Water) (Eau), Trideceth-7 Carboxylic Acid, Decyl Glucoside, Glycol Stearate, Polyquaternium-10, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Sodium Hydroxide, Disodium EDTA, Quaternium-15, Parfum (Fragrance), Methylparaben, Propylparaben, Methylchloroisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, CI 14700 (Red 4), CI 19140 (Yellow 5)
This lathered nicely for one that's sulfate free, it also had a good slip to it, unlike a lot of shampoo's it didn't strip the hair or make it feel dry as if there's one thing I hate it's touching my hair when shampooing and it feels dry even though there's water running through it. There wasn't that problem with this and it was easy to detangle, the scalp and hair felt clean without feeling stripped. (this product does contain parabens)

Creme Of Nature Argan Oil Intensive Conditioning Treatment 354ml £3.49

Aqua (Water) (Eau), Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cetyl Alcohol, Dicetyldimonium Chloride, Polyquaternium-37, Lanolin Oil, PEG-12 Dimethicone, Propylene Glycol Dicaprylate/Dicaprate, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Polyquaternium-10, Amodimethicone, Phenyl Trimethicone, Isopropyl Alcohol, Dimethiconol, Isostearyl Ethylimidazolinium Ethosulfate, PPG-1 Trideceth-6, Panthenol, Propylene Glycol, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Mel (Honey) (Miel), Cocodimonium Hydroxypropyl Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Parfum (Fragrance), Phenoxyethanol, Methylisothiazolinone
I decided to get this and didn't bother with their deep conditioning masque as this is meant to be an intensive treatment, it works well onto the hair and I decided to use this as a steam treatment and just normally without heat. The product isn't hair masque thick but it thick enough to coat the hair and work well without anything running down your face. After about 10 minutes I'd rinsed it out and my hair wasn't anything better but it didn't make it worse. My hair did have a nice curl pattern to it while wet. (this product does contain silicones)

- The above items, I would say you don't need to have curly hair to use but I'm just giving my view from being a curly girl!

Creme Of Nature Argan Oil Oil Moisturizer 250ml £2.99

Aqua (Water) (Eau), Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil) (Huile Minerale), Petrolatum, Dimethicone, Ceteareth-20, Propylene Glycol Glycereth-26, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Panthenol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Disodium EDTA, Benzophenone-4, Cetearyl Alcohol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-40 Stearate, Triethanolamine, Parfum (Fragrance), Hydroxyisohexyl-3-Cyclohexene Carboxaldehyde, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylparaben, Propylparaben, CI 19140 (Yellow 5), CI 14700 (Red 4)
This moisturiser I will use after I've washed & conditioned etc. It's o-kay, it's a creamy moisturiser but what can I say it just didn't do much but coat my hair and if I went outside my hair just frizzed. My hair overtime started to get drier and more frizzy and the curl definition started to lack. My ends also just was not loving this moisturiser. There wasn't much to say apart from my blonde hair wasn't feeling this. (this product does contain mineral oil, petroleum and silicone)

Creme Of Nature Argan Oil Butter-Licious Curls 213g £6.49

Aqua (Water) (Eau), Glycerin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Dimethicone, Ceteareth-20,Glycereth-26, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Parfum (Fragrance), Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Panthenol, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-40 Stearate, Disodium EDTA, Tocopheryl Acetate, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Triethanolamine, Benzyl Benzoate, Linalool, Diazolidinyl Urea, Methylisothiazolinone, CI 19140 (Yellow 5), CI 14700 (Red 4)
This should help with frizz, more of a second day styler. It's very soft and carries the same smell like everything else in the range. The hair on the second day definitely needs the moisture and frizz control after using the oil moisturiser. It's not bad but I wouldn't scream about it. (this product does contain silicones)

Creme Of Nature Argan Oil Twirling Custard Curl Styling Gel 326g £6.49

Aqua (Water) (Eau), Glycerin, Propylene Glycol, Parfum (Fragrance), Xanthan Gum, Pectin, Panthenol, VP/DMAPA Acrylates Copolymer, Calcium Lactate, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Hydrogenated Vegetable Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Benzyl Benzoate, Linalool, Benzyl Alcohol, Diazolidinyl Urea
I tried my luck with this and thought it would be good for twist outs and defining curls but I found it to flake while giving me product build up pretty quickly. My hair honestly has never done well with many gels. One gel my hair has agreed with is my aloe vera gel to smooth down those baby hairs and lay the hair flat with any tied up hair styles but I've never used it in the casting method. The consistency is almost cream and gel like, new combination for me to come about but it doesn't leave the hands feeling sticky although I always found my hair to get quite dry after use. I use it wet as directed and leave the hair to set and dry before taking the hair at typically the next day and there's just a lack of shine and hair result. The fragrance is so high up in the list it makes me wonder if it adds to drying out my hair & the smell is very strong- fail.

Overall
The scent of these products are lovely but inhaling it too much just gets stronger and it starts to get almost like pure alcohol and mind numbing to me. It doesn't happen once on the hair but it is heavily scented and noticeable, not a bad thing to have nice smelling hair although sitting around inhaling the scent out of the tubs, you'll need a break. These products were very touch and go with my hair. The shampoo and conditioner wasn't bad I had no qualms but the rest of the line started to get questionable. I think it really does depend on your overall hair type and possibly your environment. In the long run, I should stick to brands I know and products that work. The hair will love me better.

I'd love to know if you have tried any Creme of Nature products and your experiences.
