Y'all know now that I'm all for my brows, if I could elongate them and make them thicker I would but I should be grateful for what I have and work with them. I honestly don't do my brows as often as I should(?) I don't mind the odd grow out here and there but then they start to loose their shape and I end up with a new shape to deal with, oh the brow struggle. If there is one thing I do suffer with it's ingrown hairs! Yes flipping ingrown hairs, not my most favourite things ever and I always get them by my brow bone.

Shavata Precision Pointed Tweezers - these have become a lifesaver. Due to them being thinner, it's more accurate for me to get under the hair when it's raised from the skin. It'll take me a few days but to get the hair from under the skin I'll place a warm cloth on the brow and leave it for a few minutes afterwards I'll make a mixture of two crushed asprin's and 1tsp water, mix it and apply it to the area where the ingrown hair is. Do that daily until the hair is loosened and I can take the tweezer and carefully go under the hair and able to lift it up and out. These are also good for getting a nice, accurate arch shape. I've noticed they are very sharp, to the point that they can cut your brow hair before you even pluck it out, so be careful!

Scissors - I vary from unkempt to trimmed sharp brows. Shavata scissors are small and give more control with trimming the brows. I brush mine upwards and see if there's any hairs that are longer and snip away. Very handy and small enough to slip into a make-up bag. I keep them in the plastic bag they came in to keep clean.

Aftercare Gel - Always needed, if you're removing hair on that face of yours, make sure you help it to heal and soothe any soreness that can occur. I always get irritated skin on my forehead after removing hair and this mixture of aloe and arnica helps cool & fade any redness. In fairness you could probably just use any type of aftercare gel or pure aloe vera if you have a plant.

Do you do your brows yourself or do you get someone professionally to do them for you?

Christmas Wish
Mandarin, Cinnamon & Tonka Bean
I had a miniature Christmas Wish last year and it's truly a Christmassy scent. It's relaxing and it makes you want to sit by a fire and burn. Cinnamon is vibrant throughout this scent and we all know cinnamon is comforting and is around in drinks and scents all up until Christmas and this is no different. It's probably one of the best luxury festive scents around.

Perfect Peace
Pine, Myrrh & Lime Peel
Subtle and sweet. I was certainly attracted to this one because of the Lime Peel, I adore citrus scents. Being that it's included alongside Christmas Wish, it's on the opposite spectrum, where the other I'd say is more spicy this is more on the woody with a blend of citrus. It compliments the other and is a different option for Christmas Wish if you want to switch up the festive scent. Can't stop sniffing it, I have it right by my bed so I can smell it even when it's not burning.

Neom Organics Scents of Christmas

Within this set you get 4 Models Own Lux Nail polishes, these were released in September and each of these contains real 'diamond dust'- hmm I don't know about that, I wonder what the diamond dust truly is besides flecks of glitter? But it does give your normally one toned nail polish that bit of glisten which is good all year round and especially during the party season. Above you'll see Asscher Blue, Radiant Pink, Trillion Taupe & Carat Coral.

There's a double ended cuticle pusher, so you can push back the cuticles to get more of a nail bed and allow your nails to get a cleaner nail polish look. You'll also notice the tape in the image, that Gold Nail Art Tape allows you to finish off your nails with a nail art effect. You can use it as a gold tip or be more experimental with your nails and use tape for other designs and finish it off with a top coat.

I wish my nails were in a good state to try this out better besides the swatches above - sorry!

Each one of these polishes as described has diamond dust in and give a slight shimmer, I noticed it in the blue and pink and slightly in the red but it was harder to see in the taupe for me. There's some good swatches online especially at Fundamentally Flawless!

Natural hair has been such a learning curve and I constantly say this because it truly is. Being also that my hair is also colour treated it seems more fragile than normally so it's in a rehabilitation state, all fair and well doing protective hairstyles but during the night at times when I wrap my hair, I'll wake up and my wrap is long gone off my hair and I look like I've had an electric shock.

I've heard all about the benefits of a silk pillowcase, I always thought yeah right, my face and greasy hair would just swoosh off the pillowcase or worse the pillow slips off the bed, just like my silk scarf does on my head but I've yet to find this on my floor and believe me I sleep like a flopping fish, considering that this case is silk on the top and underneath it's good that it doesn't slide off.

Cliffton Silk have had their silk specially weaved to make sure that we get the maximum benefits for our skin & hair. The special weave allows the skin and hair to glide along as you move in your sleep, therefore less friction.

What are the added benefits that silk brings?
Silk Charmeuse is 100% natural and hypoallergenic, meaning great for us all. The Chinese for centuries known the benefits of sleeping on silk because silk is the nearest thing to human skin known to mankind. Studios have shown that amino acids can counter the effects of ageing. Silk contains a natural protein and 18 essential amino acids.

I'm not sure if it's the fact that before sleeping with silk, I'd sleep so terribly on my pillows, my face would be scrunched up on my pillow and some mornings I'd wake up and I'd have lines all around my eyes and sometimes my eye would feel uncomfortable for a good amount of hours. Enter the Sleek Eye Mask. The eye mask is a great addition due to the fact that it's so soft, it's a slight adjustment to sleep with an eye mask on. As I'm forever up during the night but a slip up onto the forehead is easy enough. I've had eye masks in the past with elastic, sometimes I feel maybe they weren't the best choice during the night rubbing constantly onto the hair as I move but this one is a tie mask and you can adjust it to your own tightness comfort and the silk goes all around. They're all undyed and chemical free.

Omg, seriously. Silk cases / eye masks are necessity. Even more so for someone like me, I like to put my curls in the pineapple hairstyle during the night but I hate to know that there's more of a possibility that my scarf's going to leave my head, knowing that my curls during the night are protected which is important. The Sleep Eye Mask is an addition because even from a young age you want to protect things that might not be easily reversible in the future. I've got something different to show you in another post that's an addition to skincare, Silk Beauty Cocoons!

Cliffton Silk Gifts make some good treats for yourself or others. I think I'm going to get a a few for gifts this year!

How the weather has got so cold quickly, the temperature is reminding us that it's no longer summer which also means trading in the open shoes for something a lot warmer and snug. EMU Australia I've mentioned previously here and today I'm featuring them again but this time in the form of their Stinger Lo Boots.

The shade is almond - to me a classic colour for these boots but they also come in 20 different colours, so your left with options to suit your colour palette. Personally I love anything, black, beige or nude pink when it comes to clothes so opting for almond I felt was a classic choice.

The Stinger boots also come in Lo, Mini or Hi. Once again giving you more choice. Being water resistant and are perfect to wear in winter as well as summer due to the sheepskin lining that gives you that choice of keeping warm or cool. The soles of the boots give you a nice grip on flooring, so don't worry about slipping but always be careful when soles are wet. There's not be an incident and I found these easy to drive in (sometimes you got to wonder when shoes are a little wider than some)

I'd recommend you can give EMU Australia who recently celebrated their 20th Anniversary during October a chance as they cater to both males, females and children so nobody is left out.

I just have this feeling that Minimalism is on the rise or it's either been this way for a while and due to be immersed in so much shit, I would never of noticed it. That clean way of living - it's not even that it just looks spacious and organised, it's the fact that I feel we are conditioned in so many ways to think, we WANT this item, we NEED this to survive, we HAVE to have this because our life would be incomplete without it. Yet we still managed to of lived before knowing about said items. One would think Minimalism's roots lie in Buddhism and after hearing it from friends and also researching, it very may well be true as Buddhist monks were only allowed to own 8 possession - their robe (3 pieces of fabric), a begging bowl, girdle, water-filter, a needle to repair their robe, and a razor to shave their head. Christianity also has minimalist roots. Luke 12:15, “…Watch out! Be on guard for all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions..” Others may have adapted from religion and made it a way of life.

The ultimate goal is to shed those things that don’t matter in order to more fully pursue the things that DO.

A few weeks ago I came across this one channel on YouTube, Ambrosia Malbrough, I sat and watched her videos even skimmed through her really old ones but I've never had a YouTube channel inspire me before. I immediately subscribed, followed her on Instagram, Twitter (where she followed me back, hey girl! lol!) & her blog xoxo- Brosia. Ambrosia has a playlist on Minimalist Living, check it out. It is quite insightful as even if you're not a blogger it's still an easy job to become a hoarder of items. We tend to hang onto EVERYTHING! I've still got Barbie's in the shed, that have no clothes, my 7 year old inspired hairdresser wannabe haircuts, I wonder if any have legs but these aren't items I'd want to play with or even pass down to my children, they'll look at me like, are times this hard? Do we need a herd of items to feel we are living in riches.

Simplifying your life can be more than just removing physical belongings.
If minimalism is the intentional promotion of the things that I most value, it is also about deciding what is more important in my life and removing the things that distract me from it.
It is about removing the urgent for the sake of the important.
 - Simplify by Becker, Joshua

I think, how easy is it to become a minimalist, I look at my wardrobe and drawers stuffed with clothes yet I stick to a carousel of clothing items. It would save more time looking for the items I continuously wear than always having to shift through piles and hangers of things that, still have yet to be worn cos I've purchased them on impulse. It would probably be easier to just give items away, the reward in that is I've given a pre-loved item to someone who now can continue to love it too. You've also given opportunity for something new to come into your life by freeing up space, whatever that new thing could be.

Minimalism Mantra
Stop buying the unnecessary.
Toss half your stuff, learn contentedness.
Reduce half again.
List 3 essentials things in your life, do these things first, stop doing the non-essential.
Clear distractions, focus on each moment.
Let go of attachment to doing, having more.
Fall in love with less.

One practice I've got into is that of giving away my samples, as bloggers at times we are so influxed with items, we never know what to do with them, we test things for a period of time and before we know it we're excepting things and have to leave that item behind. Before that item is unable to be used, I give it the church, friends and family members to use. What else am I going to do with it? I'd only have to throw it away after the expiry. I think heading into 2015 I'd love to explore Minimalism more deeply.

Have you ever thought about Minimalism or do you practice it?

Is Minimalism The Way Forward?

Dermalogica are releasing Limited Edition Gift Sets and I've got two to share with you. I was trained using Dermalogica skincare and I continue to use some bits here and there, one being is the Active Moist which I keep in my kit and I also use Daily Microfoliant when at times. Here's why I love gift sets, if you want to try a selection for yourself or to gift to someone to do the same, it's less expensive and instead of getting a full sized bundle that might not agree with you or whatever reason, it's better to sample and get a selection, right?

For friends who are difficult to buy for
Conditioning Body Wash 75ml
This rich, soap-free cleanse is acid balanced and infused with purifying essential oils to prevent over-drying. Skin emerges smooth, soft and refreshingly clean. This gives a generous lather and when used on my honeycomb sponge lasts throughout, I'd stopped in September using bubble baths due to my skin feeling very dried out. I've used this a few times over the weekend and my skins not been irritated and it gives a good clean.

Body Hydrating Cream 75ml
Lactic and hydroxy acids in this advance moisturiser immediately smooth and condition skin while essential plant oils soothe and soften. Indeed this has a soothing scent in the form of Lavender, Lemon, Apple, Orange, Sandalwood, Clary, Tea Tree, Rosemary. I definitely smell the Lemon and possibly Clary in this cream. It's not greasy and absorbs into the skin easily. Calming Green Tea, Chamomile with the Tea Tree and Lavender act to soften and soothe the skin.

Exfoliating Body Scrub 15g
This creamy, light-foaming body scrub exfoliates to dramatically smooth without damaging skin. Kind of reminds me of the texture of an oat scrub, I used this little bubba on my knees and elbows with an exfoliating glove. It's gentle and has small grits that don't irritate but give a good exfoliation - exfoliating my favourite time.
This set is suitable for all skin types. Formulated without artificial fragrances and colours.

For yourself
Active Moist 100ml
Light, oil-free moisturiser helps combat surface dehydration without leaving a greasy after-feel. Apply to face and neck with light, upward strokes. I have this cream, in tubes and in sample sizes, I used this during the Summer on a job to stop any additional oil and skin is quick to get dehydrated especially when combination. I use it on myself as my t-zone can be a pain in the A.

Soothing Eye Make-Up Remover 30ml
Oil-free, conditioning gel quickly dissolves makeup (even stubborn mascara) without irritating eyes. Apply to wet cotton and gently massage over the eye area. Rinse thoroughly. I'm looking forward to using this, removing eye make-up is a sensitive job, you don't want to be harsh and tug around your eyes when removing make-up so anything that can take off the most stubborn items without damaging is ideal.

Intensive Eye Repair 4ml
Antioxidant-rich eye treatment helps replenish moisture, diminish fine lines and repair damage. Gently pat around eye area, working inward from outer corner. May be worn day or night. I'm not sure if I'm imaging fine lines that are already there or I'm dreading my eyes telling stories. There's ways to combat wrinkles (I'll show you soon) but keeping your eye area cool and hydrated is important. The eyes tell all.
This set is suitable for skin with excess oil production. Formulated without artificial fragrances and colours.

Hopefully this helped just a bit more for gifts this Christmas!

Happy Birthday to ya! Happy Birthday!!
Will not lie, I thought their birthday was last month lol but their still making it past that first year in business, so I salute thee for continuously giving us a great Vegan selection.

Founded earlier this year by UK Nutritionist Suzie Walker, with nothing but a blender, dried fruits, coconut and nuts her mission to create the perfect Paleo bar. This is 100% Paleo and 0% junk, good for everyone. This bar is Suzie's favourite, free of any grains, dairy, refined sugars and vegetable oils. My nan had this and I had some, it's not bad at all - great for a breakfast or snack bar.

OMG! Seriously, I need these in store. I had some, my nan had some, my uncle had some lol - My uncle is a big meat eater and he even agreed it taste chicken like but of course there's nothing but chicken flavouring but it's not overbearing and the crisps are very light too. Delicious.

This is an exclusive pot of sea salt caramel just for TheVeganKind ahead of general release, this can be drizzled over anything vegan such as ice cream, hot chocolate or just dip in the spoon and lick. It's nice and sweet and it's just delicious to actually swipe on the finger and lick off the lid, it's tempting and good.

I've had Rebel Kitchen before but not the Orange Choc Mylk, It's good for everyone in the family, I don't do milk (obviously) so it's cool to have milk back and in a good way as there's dairy free and made from hydrating coconut milk and come in 3 flavours.

These naturally have a bitter flavour Quinoa but it's high in fibre and protein. This Fairtrade quinoa is a winner of 6 great taste awards and used in several Michelin restaurants. Therefore it has to be popular, right? I've never tried it before but it's something I'm looking forward to trying in a salad. Going to have to look up some recipes. Have you tried Quinoa?

Since being introduced to Organic Surge I've enjoyed this brand, it's always a welcome edition. They make a range of different items so you'll never be caught out needing something. This is definitely awakening but the scent is also relaxing to me, May Chang & Bergamot. Their shower gels are a bit pricey but it's worth it.

Once again Happy Birthday TheVeganKind!

TheVeganKind #13

It's getting towards that time, Christmas. A lot of parties are happening and even though I love red lipstick, it's definitely one that seems to be a festive colour, think creepy Santa's coat and hat. I've had these Motives products for a few months now and I felt it was fitting to just use it in this look.

It's been nearly a month since my last post on the Philips Lumea and I've discovered something. I feel the heat more the week before my menstrual cycle.

After reading the booklet it said to do it every fortnight, after the first week, the second cycle was just before my period, considering I could use this on level 4 or 5 before without any discomfort, on that week, the heat was bearable but so much more heat to the skin. I realised, I'm due on! Could this contribute? Possibly. I did it this past Monday(3rd cycle) and the feel of the heat was just the same as it was on the first cycle. Go Figure.

I feel when doing this, it's setting aside a good hour in total for all the areas I wanted to do on my body, moustache, arms, armpits and legs. I've stuck to two, I didn't bother with my arms in the end. Not too sure why I decided to stop there, maybe because I'm not too fussed with the hair. It's just a good thing that I can go and do it at any time.
Another point is, I've got tattoos. One being on my leg and I cannot use this over my tattoo. It's quite a good way for me to compare growth as I have to shave that part. I've so far noticed that the hair is growing back quicker on the area where my tattoo is. I can get about 5 days of free hair elsewhere before I'm having to shave in comparison to the every other day.

The flashing light isn't too much of a problem for me. You do want to use this in a well lit room so that the flashing isn't too bright or you can do what I do - put on sunglasses if the eyes are feeling sensitive. Though it's really not necessary!

Also, I'm still trying to get the hang of the armpits, I can't glide it like I would do the legs just because I'm a bit more cautious of the skin around, I tend to go more at an angle near the bottom of my armpit. Other than that, it's easy enough and I can't complain due to the the fact that it's less than an hour put aside fortnightly so far Lumea, the secret to beautiful hair free skin, for up to 2 months is doing a good ol' job on my hairy mary.

Philips Lumea Precision Plus - Update 2

I haven't really done a smokey eye since well, dark spell. So it's been quite a while but it was a trend at a time to wear the smokey eye paired with a nude lipstick. I decided it was time for me to do that again and revisit the basics.

The other most important part of this look is of course, the smudged lower liner. I used the GOSH smokey eyeliner* £5.99 that is a dual pencil, pencil one end and smudger on the other end. Honestly, I hardly use the smudge ends of these pencils as I tend to just smudge liners out with a brush and prefer it that way but I did test how it felt and it's a lot softer than other dual smudged liner sponges that I've encountered.
The formula itself is pigmented, creamy and smudges nicely. I didn't find it smudged any further down my face, maybe because I went over it with a black eyeshadow. It's cheaper than my other favourite liner that has a nice creamy consistancy so it could be one, that's here for keeps.

On the lids, I used NARS Night Flight (e/s) with Urban Decay - Zero (e/s) in the outer corner, lips, Revolution MakeUP, Salvation Intense Lip Lacquer - More Than I Could Give (love these)

Do you love a good old smokey eye and nude lip?

GOSH Smokey Eye

Festival season is over but I'm not quite ready to let it go and neither is Sure. I was asked by the number one anti-perspiant brand to create my ideal festival look to celebrate the launch of their compressed can, which is handbag sized & purse friendly. This 75ml can even lasts as long as it's larger family members, so where can we go wrong?  I decided to uptake the challenge of creating my own festival headband.
I was given a bespoke box full of items to make a headband. Floral wire, floral tape & paper flowers. So there was large and small flowers available to use. I wanted to make an Autumnal headband, an Autumnal Festival Headband! I swapped the pink flowers for some burgundy ones that I have and used the smaller flowers available.
I put in some Burgundy large flowers on an Alice band instead, I honestly couldn't deal with the floral wire. I wanted something that would give a grip in my hair. Plus I didn't have enough flowers for my own personal feel to make a crown  using the wire. Finishing it off I used the hot glue gun and added skull heads inside the roses, I wanted them to blend into the roses and making it more personal for me, you could even add charms that suit you.

Skulls N' Roses Headband

I'm prone to spots and the odd breakout here and there and not to mention my skin can get slightly oily. I get asked often what face masks I use - my skin isn't perfect I get the odd blemishes and flare ups like most but if your skin is similar to mine here are 3 face masks that could help you too.

Mario Badescu Cucumber Tonic Mask*
This ones a newbie to me, been using this mask for around 4 months now and what I like about it is, there's hardly any scent to it. Using a thin layer I apply this over my problem areas, this has oil absorbing clays and chamomile to minimize any redness and lightly moisturises the face. There's a lot of clay masks that are more drying of the skin but I don't have that with this, it helps to target any spotty redness.
Good for normal, oily and combination skin.

Sanctuary 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask
This one to me is quite purse friendly it's just under £11 but it's more accessible with a pop in your local high street Boots store. If you prefer quicker face masks this ones perfect. This masks draws out any impurities with it's self heating clay, the charcoal and kaolin will get deep into the skin. Simply cleanse your face and leave it it damp, apply this onto your face and neck or if you suffer from combination skin just any probelm areas (forehead, nose etc) and for 5 mins you'll feel this soothing and bareable heat as this mask goes to work.
Good for oily and combination skin.

Calcium Bentonite
This ones for the kitchenista's, You can add organic apple cider vinegar and / or water to make your mixture. I mix equal parts and stir until it's all fully blended. Apply this to your face using either clean hands or a face mask applicator. As this begins to dry, it's tighter than any other clay mask I've used, the skin feels like it's being ripped off but it's not your feeling all the dirt and impurtites being sucked out. After about 25 minutes it ws dry and cracking like an old wall, this is the part that's a pain, getting it off. Soak a face cloth in warm water, put it over your face and steam it off and wipe it off. Don't keep rubbing at the skin, you don't want to irritate it.
Good for oily and spot prone skin.

Top Tip : Always remember to make sure your hands are very clean before touching your face.

My Top 3 Face Masks

The latest on the Tube from me, My piercings video, all about my triple helix, nipple piercings and nose piercing. The issues I dealt with, especially that dreaded nose bump and the possible rejection that I faced with my nose stud and how I got rid of it. Then the latest one for fun, is the mixed girl tag, don't think if you're not mixed you cannot watch it, I think I raise some valid points.

Mixed Girl Tag & Latest Videos

If I'm not walking in to pick up my loyal routine of Ultrabland & Ocean Salt (non self preserving version, mind!) it's all about the bath bombs & melts. Left typically for the weekend to ultimately soak it up.

I picked up Star Light, Star Bright, last month - let me tell you something. Unless you're prepared to still be seeing glitter for weeks to come, don't bother. There was no escaping it. Face, hair, in the bush brows, ruined pedicure and then it got on the furniture and the toilet seat, obviously I didn't bath towel wax it off and yes...it's stubborn as hell to remove. As pretty as all that glitter is, I wasn't a fool to make that mistake twice.

Mmmelting Marshmallow Moment this one my nan picked up for herself, whenever I go to LUSH I always ask her to pick something for herself. She picked up her felt bath melt, good for young, delicate or irritated skin. This has marshmallow powder, Fair Trade Colombian Cocoa Butter, Almond Oil & Chamomile Powder as the active ingredients. Smells just as good as marshmallows!

You've Been Mangoed a fast melter in the hand. Smells heavenly, mango scents are one of my top 5 scents for things. Really hydrates & moisturises the skin when it's melted into the water. Key ingredients Fair Trade Colombian Cocoa Butter, Mango Butter, Lemon Oil, Lime Oil & Avocado Butter. It's small but it certainly works.

Floating Island Fair Trade Colombian Cocoa Butter, Almond Oil, Sandalwood Oil & Lemon Oil it's got some good stuff and it froths up like a rapid dog but you know this experience will be more pleasurable. There's a film that covers the water after it's melted and I worried that it would just feel trapped on my skin afterwards but when drying it leaves nothing more to be desired for. It's moisturised but I still put a tad bit more of my own on, you know just in case. The relaxing scent of Sandalwood (another fav scent of mine)

Dragon's Egg is an all time favourite of mine along with So White but I picked up Dragon's egg this time around, you can see how I feel about it right here.

Do you have any favourites?

After my post on Instagram I want to share this with you. Even for me being that of a mixed raced woman, I'm quite fair. It's something that's constantly pointed out to me relentlessly (yes, I get it, I'm frigging pale)but that's the great thing about tans, there's so many on the market and one brand that was introduced to me a couple of months ago is Cocoa Brown.

I was sent their Lovely Legs spray, currently only in Medium Bronze. No secret I love a good glow, so why not spread and share it onto the legs. Pretty simple. Exfoliate the legs, they offer a scrub within the range too. On clean and dry legs (free of creams and oils) just spray it onto your mitt and buff it onto your legs (as you can see above)! I experienced no streaking or patchy application.

There's one thing I'd like to note - the scent. Surprisingly it doesn't have that fake tan smell. It's a very pleasant and familiar scent, bugging me what it is but whatever it is - don't change it!

The colour looks as if it's going to be a bad choice at first like when sprayed onto the mitt, a clay, muddy orange undertone brown but fear not...once onto the legs and buffed in it settles to a more realistic brown tone. It's meant to hide imperfections, I have some scars around / on my knees but it doesn't say scarring but things such as veins, uneven skintone, it washes off easily and quickly, no fuss and no left over streaking . I'm quite happy with my results and for the price £7.99, how can you go wrong?

Valeur Absolue Sensualité is inspired by the sensuality of women, as seen by us, for us. Fragrance Development Director, Marie-Aude Bluche describes the perfume as "super-feminine, super-bright with a very luminous sensuality. It's all about curves and light, sensual shapes. We created it with flowers that would reflect the curves of a woman"

A good old classic parfum shape, boxed and small. This see through bottle doesn't just boast a feminine scent but also a visible reminds at the bottle encased it contains mother-of-pearl, the symbol of femininity. When I first sprayed this on my wrist and it began to settle, I smelt a lot more fruity than floral but the rose is there during that last inhale as my senses trialled through.

Notes
Top notes composed of Sicilian bergamot and white pepper.
The floral heart of the fragrance combines the intoxicating perfume of Rose de Mai with Sambac jasmine.
The base notes reveal a sensual trail of cedarwood and a blend of amber and musk.
Scent would fall into the Fruity / Floral category.

Valeur Absolute perfumes avoid:
PCM
Polycyclic-musks (PCM) are synthetic aromatic compounds that are used in cosmetics, detergents and cleaning products. Musk-based ingredients have been used over the years for their scent and ability to mask undesirable odours that the formula base may give off. They are linked to numerous bioaccumulation and skin irritations. These compounds are also non-biodegradable.

PHTHALATE
Phthalates are a diverse and large chemical family that have a number of applications including a vast use in the cosmetics and perfume industries. Some phthalates - BBP, DBT and BEHP - have been said to be highly irritating as they can be absorbed by the skin and cause allergic reactions.

This is a great gift for a fragrance lover, not only that due to the fact it holds no nasty's it gives someone else who may get reactions for fragrances and can't enjoy them a chance to feel, womanly and sensual with a scent again.

Name alone is a large claim but what else does the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara lead us to believe can happen to our lashes during this session. "One application of our collagen-fueled formula and touch of our specially shaped brush will leave you begging for more"
-One coat and lashes are full, defined and stretched to unbelievable lengths.
-Two coats and they’re reaching unbelievable heights of drama.
-Three coats and you’ll believe in magic.

The Brush

Soft bristles that boasts an hour glass figure, designed after an iconic Hollywood bombshell's bust-waist-hip ratio. The shape of this brush helps to give the desired effect for your lashes to separate, coat and curl each lash to voluptuous perfection.

Before & After

How did I find it?
Wouldn't say I was bowled over by this mascara, the size of the brush makes it difficult to reach inner corners. Due to the soft bristles, it doesn't hold the lashes well when brushing through. Another thing I noticed was this is a very wet mascara. The brush can get loaded very easily when taken out of the tube, almost in wet clumps. You start to lose more product as you then need to wipe off the excess try not to do it on the tube, it'll build up and get hard and your mascara will dry up quicker - if you do remember to take a wet wipe and clean it off. I'd carefully clean it off on a tissue to eliminate most the wet blobs. You honestly do not want to touch up anything else on your eyes after applying this, it's way too easy to smudge. I found this mascara during the day will flake and also leave a raccoon appearance within a few hours under the eyes, their "Film-forming Polymer for smudge-proof, all day wear" claim didn't live up. Probably best to not use it for your lower lashes and for myself stick to two coats rather than three.

I don't think I'd put this mascara on my shopping list anytime soon!

Have you tried this mascara?

Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara

I've tried a few other hot cloth cleansers & they all have the same premise about them. Apply the cleanser onto dry skin, use tepid - hot water and rinse your cloth in the water and wipe your face clean. This one by Organic Surge is, vegetarian friendly, not tested on animals, tested on sensitive skin and certified organic & natural. So where can you go wrong?

This has 3 active ingredients, Orange Peel Oil -Naturally calms skin irritation ,Star Anise Oil - Anti-oxidant with anti-wrinkling properties & Damask Rose Oil - Calms, hydrates and moisturises skin. I find the rose scent to be prominent but not overbearing, gives a nice relaxing scent when using it. As the colder days as drawing in, I'm finding that I'm reaching for it a bit more during the evening. My skin can go from normal / combination - normal / dry quickly and needs protection and repairing.

Creamy on application but once rubbed into the skin it gives a nice silk touch, not a heavy film at all and it's ready for the muslin cloth -(you can purchase this online too or get a set that includes a cloth). You do not want the water to be scorching hot, you don't want to do any extremes as this can only damage your skin. Make sure it's warm enough that it can warm the skin and melt the cleanser further and help to remove any impurities lurking in your skin. Afterwards continue with your normal routine. I have used this around the eyes, I've not had any irritation or ' my eyes are burning!!' moments. I couldn't comment on waterproof mascara as I don't wear any.

The only downfall? The pump, it's quite stiff and the product seems to be hard to work up and out of the bottle. Besides that, it's pretty faultless.
