With the weather starting to get a bit more promising and festivals are going to be starting soon, what better way to get into that spirit that by enhancing your beauty. Dovechild come in 3 different colour combination, rainbow (above), Sea & Sky. These can be worn over the brows, over the lids, however you see fit. Being that these are reusable you can use these until they fall apart.

Personally I think these are fantastic for some of us who might not be 'artistically gifted' when it comes to applying make-up, even for those who want to add more to their make-up or even photoshoots, how easy would that be just to take something from colourful to avant garde.

I only applied eyeshadow to the inner corners and on the lower lash line giving a slight gradient from blue to green to mimic the rainbow gradient. If you browse through the Face Lace site you'll notice that they even have ones for eyebrows and even more elaborate designs that go across the entire eye / nose. Beautiful & intricate designs.

It's always a good job to have samples of skin care to see how they work before throwing down the big bucks and the Caudalie Polyphenol C15 range is no difference. Lucky for anyone who wants to try it Latest in Beauty teamed up with them to bring you 3 of the products out of the range.

Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Anti-wrinkle Eye & Lip Cream (5ml)
This double-action gel-cream reduces dark circles and smoothes the area around the eyes and lips. The Polyphenol + Vitamin C anti-oxidant, anti-wrinkle formula is enriched with Matrixyl 3000 and fern, horse chestnut, liquorice and witch hazel extracts. Instantly tightening, smoothing and moisturising.

I used theis to prep a clients skin the other day, to smooth the under eyes and lips. The smallest amount is used, I could see this lasting for quite a while. Used it on my own skin as I have dark circle issues can't comment on it too much if it works but it has to be one of the least greasy eye creams I've ever used.

Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Anti-Wrinkle Protect Fluid (15ml)
This multi-purpose Polyphenol + Vitamin C anti-oxidant and anti-wrinkle treatment also contains sun filters to protect against UVA and UVB rays. Enriched with hyaluronic acid, it also has a plumping action. As soon as it is applied, the skin is smoother, more filled out and perfectly protected all day long.

It's ever so light weight and surprisingly it absorbs quickly but leaves the skin moisturised. I think it's perfect for anytime of the year, if you find you may need more in drier months, I don't think there would be an issue to put added moisturiser on top. The skin is soft to touch. As it's for anti-wrinkle, with plumping action, I would suspect that it's going to help fill out wrinkles that have occurred and further prevention of any more.

Caudalie Polyphenol C15 Anti-Wrinkle Defense Serum (10ml)
This Polyphenol + Vitamin C anti-oxidant, anti-wrinkle concentrate blocks free radicals (the main cause of wrinkles), corrects and defends the skin against the aggressions of daily life (UV rays, pollution).

I love serums and I gave this a go, anything that blocks free radicals is game in my book. All these products absorb extremely quickly but there also products where less is more and you still feel the good effects. Their RRP is between £26 - £35 so if you want to try these you could grab these samples at a steal price instead.

Caudalie Polyphenols C15 Discovery Box

A sponge that can remove your fake tan? Help to remove excess tan build up and correct any mistakes? Can that be something that actually works? I'd read some review online regarding the Bronze Buffer Sponge, unfortunately they weren't good but for this to be hand picked and put into my BeautyMART box, it has to of held some claims up?
Deciding to tan this week using the Xen Tan Luminous Gold Gel, it's clear when applied and takes up to 3 hours to develop, meaning any mistakes aren't visible straight away and the tan drying in those awkward places will appear hours later. So of course when mine dried I had completely ballsed up my wrist on my right arm. Perfect time to try this out - right?

All I had to do was put the sponge under some water and wring out the excess and gentle rub the tan mistake and shockingly it removed the tan pretty quickly. I had read there was irritation and the sponge was really hard when others tried to remove it but I experienced none of that. Undoubtedly the sponge isn't the softest but what do you expect when it needs to remove fake tan? If your skin is already irritated do not use this but otherwise just gentle buff the excess off and you'll be fine! If your a fake tanner - this is PERFECT for you, the images say it all. Being that the sponges are reusable and clean up to near brand new. It'll be £10 you'll be glad to spend.

Bronze Buffer £10.00

Bronze Buffer - Self Tan Remover Review

The sun has been shining and it's *fingers crossed* getting warmer. Which means if your the type to adjust your make-up to the weather it's the time to bring out your bronzers and bright lips. I find orange is a great alternative to the classic red lip.
Mainly for this face I used a light make-up base and used my Real Techniques Miracle Complexion sponge to make sure it's a lot more natural and blended in well. To contour I used Sleek MakeUP Face Form in Medium and to bronze the skin Guerlain Terracotta 4 Seasons bronzer. The main attraction is the lips, outlining and filling in the lips with Uraban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil in Bang and fill in the lips with Bellá Pierre Cosmetics Lipstick in Mandarina. The latter of which I picked up from HQhair
No secret I love discounts, who doesn't? It's the best feeling when you can get your make-up products at a discount and you can recreate this look too with discounts available here at the HQhair section of the Savoo website.

Heatwave - Orange Lips

I wore this ring when I went out for my birthday and one of my best guy friends made me laugh, he didn't realise it was a ring, he thought I glued the spikes on, HA! It's something I would do but I was worried about the restrictions that I would feel wearing a ring that spans over the other two but it was quite comfortable and I had forgotten about it after I'd put it on. It's a ring that gives an edge.

Love crucifix's so when I saw these, I HAD to have them, I find that the gold one is a lot bigger than the black one and it can just slip on but it can be tightened by just using an eye that's closer inwards. Unfortunately it did break due to some heavy shape throwing on the make shift dance floor but nothing that the pliers couldn't fix. I got gold & black for a contrast and I wear them upside down to one another.

Just Like A Prayer...

Some say glitter shouldn't be worn by a female over a certain age, I say screw that. Wear glitter if your heart desires if your 6 or 66. I do have to say I've worn glitter on the lips before and the feeling of it - well wasn't the most comfortable thing and that glitter grit in the teeth, urgh yeah, not cool. What is cool though is these Glitter Lips, why? Read on...
Let's start off with what you get in the box. The box isn't big, it's a bit bigger than a lipstick box but it carries the glitter pot, a wand with a sponge and a brush on either end and glue.

All you do is make sure your lips are clean and dry (no cracks or sores - do NOT use this if your lips have either or both). Part your smackers and apply the glue but allow it to dry from white to clear. The glue reminded me of PVA glue and no it doesn't carry that smell, thankfully.

There's no tightening feeling as it dries but you notice it going clear so curious George did tap it to see if it was still sticky, sticky indeed. I then dabbed the sponge end of the wand onto the glitter from the pot and started to dab it along the lips where I put the glue and continued to build on it until the desired look was made. I decided to use the brush to dust off any excess and pout!

How easy is that?
The glitter is quite fine but even when I put my lips together the glitter doesn't feel coarse or uncomfortable it's so bearable. I'm going to get the other two now Ultra Glam & Ruby Slippers it just adds more to an otherwise just standard daily face. This is a certified winner ... now to find someone to kiss to see how this transfers...!

WARNING : I tested the glue on myself before deciding to go ahead to see if there was any allergic reaction, which there was not. It's important to do that before full application.

Having had these in my possession for a little while now it goes to show just how back logged I am or lazy, whatever suits you. Although it's been products I've been using. The Body Shop Tea Tree BB Cream comes in 3 shades, light, medium and dark - I have Light & Dark which as per usual, I mix, mix mix! If you've tried any of The Body Shop Tea Tree range then you'll definitely recognise the smell, these creams have it loud & clear maybe not as strong but for some reason when I use it it makes me feel better when putting make-up on that there's an active ingredient (Community Fair Trade tea tree oil from Kenya) within it that's treating my skin while I'm making up my face.

The Body Shop Tea Tree BB Cream & Instablur Primer

It's no secret that I'm all for brows, I'm a brow lover. Generally I let my beasts run wild, do as they please like Mowgli. Sometimes I might fill them in and that's because one brow is naturally arched more than another, the hair has never grown to a significantly noticeable shade on my right eye, hey it's how it goes. If I'm doing a full make-up look then I tend to fill them in using powder or pomade. I never quite got the feel for pencils, either too dark 'n heavy or just so not cool.

So the three concealers I'm going to be trying are the Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer, Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer & Too Faced Absolutely Flawless Concealer.
Here's my cyclops eye before the concealers and read on for the results!

Bargain Under £5
Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer in Warm Medium £4.19

What they say :
The ultimate wear concealer promises to conceal flaws, imperfections and blemishes, for up to 16 hours. This skin perfecting, oil free product is also transfer proof and water resistant for full and long lasting coverage.

What I say :
This is a sponge tip applicator tubed concealer. There's only 4 shades within this range so finding a suitable colour for everyone is a difficult task. For the price can it be faulted, probably not just the shades aren't the best, the tones of them seem hit & miss. Also the fact that it is a sponge applicator is that if you do use the sponge on spots etc, your looking to just spread any bacteria into the concealer tube as it will live on the sponge. I'm not a fan of that. Therefore when I use it, I use a concealer brush and take it off the stick instead. I apply a small amount to the area I want to conceal and build if needed. It did nothing for concealing  any dark spots on my face and I noticed it dries darker than how it comes out, dries very quickly, so you've got to work quickly with blending it in. It looked ashy when it dried and it wasn't one I was keen on, the lack of colour range let this down as I'd heard such a rave about it but I suppose if you're olive or darker skin toned - forget about even looking.

Mid-range Under £10
Soap and Glory Kick Ass Concealer in Medium £10.00

What they say :
Soap & Glory Kick Ass Concealer is a three - piece flaw camouflaging kit that includes an amazing undereye brightening concealer, an 'on the spot' as-you-need-it complexion concealer, and a weightless transparent setting powder.

What I say :
For £10 you get a quite a little kit as described above. On the left you've got the brightening concealer and the right the on the spot concealer (both of which are 2.6g) and of course a setting powder. It's a handy compact to keep around with only two shades available light & medium, medium just about fits for my complexion, therefore for anyone of a darker tone than me it's not going to work for them. I could suggest mixing the the under eye brightening side with the on the spot concealer to get a shade that works for you but I know for myself, sometimes when you have a product you'd rather not have to continuously mix each time. The consistency is a tad greasy and I did notice that it does crease and lay in any fine lines underneath my eyes. It's not that easy to blend if you put too much on, take a little apply, blend & build. When it begins to settle in, I didn't find it gave me much coverage on the under eyes, the skin was a little brighter but it still looked quite dull.

High-End Under £20
Too Faced Absolutely Flawless Concealer in Perfect Nude £16.50

What they say :
Our long-lasting, creamy concealer gives you the power to create sheer-to-full coverage. Just a dab hides imperfections, masks redness and hyper pigmentation, while promoting healthy skin. Working under the surface are natural ingredients that hydrate skin, smooth surface imperfections and fight puffiness.

What I say :
Another that comes in only 3 shades Vanilla, Perfect Nude & Honey. It's a very small tube for the cost, 8g, though I decided that it's best to just squeeze out what I needed and applied as I go need. Thick but I blend with my fingers to warm it up and work it in, which seems to work best for me and I just use my ring finger and dab in. Too much and it can get dry and start to get flakey I noticed, so that's why I suggest the small amount and build up. Compared to the previous 2 it works a lot better on my dark circles.

Overall, I wouldn't say either of the 3 bowled me over, that's my honest truth and it's probably due more to the fact that these brands don't have a wide range of shades and who wants to have to purchase multiples just to get the right tone? The one that worked best was the Too Faced but would I get any of them again if needed? Most likely not.

I got these last month as a birthday treat for myself, I first was introduced to the Lime Crime Velvetines by Halima - Fashionicide and I had to pick up the Red Velvet and Pink Velvet they first released, so when I noticed this new collection, I didn't hesitate to pick them up, Salem & Wicked, I didn't bother with Black Velvet as I knew I probably wouldn't use it but doing a brain scan, I think I might get it now *thinks*.
Salem - Wicked - Pink Velvetine - Red Velvetine

I've worn them all but I must say that my favourite combination is wearing Salem and Wicked together, it gives it this 90s / grunge look which I of course thinks, rocks. I was walking through the mall and was stopped by a woman asking what my lip colour was and even though she had never heard of the brand she just needed to know what I had on my lips straight away - gotta love when that happens.

Witches brew, as if. Join my coven and get Wicked in Salem. Lips that stay and slay others!
