- I've not listed Crabtree & Evelyn as buy cruelty free for two reasons : "Some of our products have animal by-products present in the formulation (beeswax, milk by-products,& honey are examples)" (therefore not vegan). They do also use Badger hairs within the shave brushes, hair that has been confirmed that the badgers are from China and are hunted for meat. The hair is a by-product from that activity.

Anything that's good for baby, is good enough for me.

I've had these for a little while now and I'm quite set on my shampoo & conditioners to be honest, the first time I used these it was o.k. when it was rinsed out I noticed it looked quite powdery within the water, as it does give off a baby powder scent, that reminded me if you've ever put baby powder in water before? That residue is what is in the water. I think why I noticed difference in my hair was due to the products I had been using before, my hair needed more moisturising products for my type of hair. I did get my nan to try it for three weeks and she enjoyed the smell and her hair dried quite soft and fine.

I used the detangler on dry & wet hair and for me, it couldn't get into it, when I used it dry it helped to separate my curl but once the hair dried it was drying and a bit sticky, I don't think it works well for my hair type & curls unfortunately but used wet it works better as I will wet the hair separate into sections and spray on and begin to either finger or comb detangle and continue with my wash routine. I'm not sure if I would purchase to just use it to detangle my hair if honest but the smell of it's definitely comforting. I could see it working well for babies & toddlers hair but for mine, not so much.

Love Boo Review

If you're not blessed with long eyelashes, who wouldn't want to enhance those, there's false eyelashes, extensions and of course serums and mascaras to give us that temporary look. I wasn't blessed with long lashes, grateful for the ones I have but when I was offered the chance to trial Maylash Natural Eyelash Serum* I thought, hey why not. I was a little apprehensive to being with only because ah I'm putting something on my lashes and who knows what reaction I may have.

Maylash is made from herbs, there's a list of these herbs on the website but a quick run down:

Fructus Chebulae Extract
Is an ingredient that reliefs stress to cells, it’s commonly used in Chinese medicine.
Folium Isatidis Extract
Removes toxins and promotes good looking and healthy skin.
He Shou Wu Extract
Darkens and moisturizes the eyelashes.
Nigella Sativa
Renew old cells and promotes follicle regeneration.
Cacumen Platycladi Extract
Improves micro-cycles in the follicle that accelerate hair growth.
Coral Extract
Extends the lifecycle and gives essential minerals to the root of the eyelash.
Purified Water
Keeps your eyes clean and takes away bacteria.

It comes in a 3ml tube and a thin brush, applied like you would do a eyeliner, I put the serum along my lash line, be careful when doing this, don't rub your eyes afterwards, I tried to do this while I was in bed before sleep. A few weeks ago when I did apply it, I think I applied too much because I ended up with a sty on the waterline of my upper eye, it popped within in a day but it sure was uncomfortable while there for those 24 hours. I didn't put anything on or the serum I was a little scared to revisit it but I was just a lot more careful when I decided to brave it.
My lashes before I started to apply the serum, this was them day in, day out with any mascara. This image was from a few years ago but seeing as my lashes didn't grow. I started to use this serum last month.
After a months use my lashes started to have some improvement. This is my lashes curled and mascara applied. left & right eye. I've noticed my right eyelashes are a lot longer and I'm not sure if it's because I can apply the serum a lot better on my right eye compared to my left but I think for the next month I'm going to apply using my left eye first then onto the right eye.

I initially wanted to do an update every fortnight but I wasn't noticing much change, during the course of this, I could see slightly the middle lashes were a little longer, only until I put mascara on did I notice that they have grown, without mascara I couldn't notice much but with just one layer of mascara it showed the difference in length.

It can take up to 3 months for people to see a difference but I'm satisfied at the length they are currently at. I just need to get the left eye to pair up, that's my next challenge for the next two months. I didn't experience any major shedding, skin colour change or irritation minus the sty.

What's this?

This my loves is the CACI Microlift Personal Facial Toning System, a-ha! After some extensive press coverage online & offline. I'm going to see for one month I'm going to be using this to see if I notice an improvement in my skins texture, tones & lift. It's also a good source for wrinkles, which I have zero of. Some of you might be reading this and be thinking, honey, you've lost your mind but who doesn't want to see any improvements in their skins texture and a nice lift and tone to the skin, I do. There's nothing worse than feeling as if your skin is just not as taught as it can be, I feel that around my jawline and cheeks.
Included in this package are the electro buds full of instant skin firming serum that are inserted before each program. The Toning program is designed to help lift the brow line, plump the cheek area and firm the jawline. It can also be used to reduce wrinkle depth, this is done by relaxing facial muscles where repeated muscle contractions have encouraged expression lines. Also in the wrinkle program helps to soften the appearance of fine lines and improve skin texture. Resulting in a more youthful looking complexion.

Admittingly me and my nails have a love/hate relationship. The first time my nails EVER had length was in 2011, 2012 & 2013. From being a previous nail biter (ew!) to just having weak nails. I'm going to share my tips that have helped me to grow my nails and if you're interested last year I did a nail care routine. I myself live in water (adore my baths - soak it up) and I also daily look after my 11 rabbits therefore my nails need to have a good amount of strength and care.

1. Pay attention but don't become obsessed.
Attention - What care does your nails need, what are they telling you? Lack of calcium, peeling, breaking? Tend to these issues but don't become obsessed, waiting on your nails to grow strong and to your desired length takes time. Each time I want my nails to hurry up and grow, they just don't seem to budge.

2. Always use a nail strengthener as a base.
I can't do without my nail strengthener, on my nail rest day, I make sure it's a day I'm not going to be doing anything 'too heavy' as even though my nails aren't as brittle, it doesn't mean I can be careless, which leads me onto...

3. Use gloves.
Gloves for protection *sniggers* well, if you are using chemicals or going to have your hands submerged in water, rubber gloves are the best option to prevent your nails from softening and leading to pealing and further breakage.

4. Vitamins.
The first time I started to grow my nails, vitamins were f---ing A! I've been taking Silidyn daily. I know Biotin has helped people, I've seen the reviews floating around, kids, you should be taking your vitamins anyway, I..don't as much as I should. I really need to get me a vitamin daily cocktail happening again.

5. Keep a nail file handy.
Keep one at home and in your handbag as any breaks that may occur you want to nip it in the bud immediately. Smooth and file that nail so any further splits won't happen, less chance you'll catch that nail on something throughout the day.

6. Lotion up daily.
Grab your favourite hand and/or hand & cuticle lotion and use it daily. Not only will your hands thank you (and anyone else who you may come into intimate encounters) but your nails & cuticles will too. I keep this Concious Skincare Soothing Hand Cream in my bag & bedside table. Peeling is a sign of dry nails, avoid this by keeping moisturised. Maybe even try once a week, pre or post manicure this Soap & Glory Endless Glove.

7. Water is lucky.
Water, water, water, water. It use to be my enemy, couldn't understand why people loved this plain, unnoticeable drink but the last 8 years, I've drunk water like the world is drying up. It's good for the body overall including your talons.

8. Don't use your nails as a tool.
That can be anything from, scratching off labels, lifting up a stay tab on a can, using your nails to type, tap on tables, scratching residue off surfaces..Picking at things is a sure thing that will weaken your nails.

If your a nail biter, challenge yourself to not bite for 30 days, hard I know. Those nails are like your crack but you have to think of the long term. Once your nails gain some length, paint them even if you splash out and get a colour you've been desiring. I bet you won't want to mess up that manicure with your nail biting.
- Maybe even try those bitter nail polishes (yuck!) I keep my nails at a satisfied length, just over the tips as it's easier for what I do daily and god forbid if I end up poking someone's eyes out or scratch their skin uh-oh!

Do you have any nail growing tips?

Tips for Nail Growth

This mask is becoming a quick favourite of mine, it's simple it has only three ingredients Oryza Sativa Powder (Brown Rice), Hibiscus Sabdariffa Flower Powder (Hibiscus), Pelagonium Graveolens (Rose Geranium), not tested on animals and it's organic. All I have to do is add water to approx one tablespoon of powder, mix to an even paste & apply all over my face and underneath my chin. I leave it to dry completely before using warm water to dampen the mask slightly, I begin to massage the mask over the skin giving it an exfoliating wash before completely cleaning the face.
Afterwards my skin feels smooth & clean. I especially like to use this when my skin is more on the oily side to draw out any impurities that may be lying deep down in my skin, as I'd like to prevent any spots as often as I can.

Benefits of Hibiscus for the skin are :
» Antioxidant
» Softening skin
» Enhances the retention of the skins moisture
» Anti-ageing
» Anti-Inflammatory, astringent, free radical scavenger (antioxidant)

After being asked numerous times about my eyebrows, I finally got around to doing this video but due to a quite hectic and still occupied week, I'm just getting this done now. I doubt I will be posting until probably the weekend - next week earliest. Anyway - here's the video (below) considering my left brow is my favourite, heaven know's why I worked on the sister right brow, anyway y'all will get the grasps of it.

There's nothing better than strolling through Boots, Superdrug or even a Supermarket and picking up some great deals & products. I think Boots has to be my favourite place to aisle wonder, I must be a slave to the points. Here are my fab five picks that I consistently purchase.

Being that I've got nails again -wehey!- it's all about making sure at every opportunity they aren't weakend, the Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover (£5.00)is such a favourite of mine for a fuss free nail colour wipe off, the lack of polish remover smell and the non drying formula, instead it has sweet almond oil to nourish the cuticle and nails, while being paraben & acetone free. Talking Acetone free, I use to use the Sally Hansen range but seeing as they don't comply with being against animal testing (whoomp, whoomp!) I use a just as good alternative being the Superdrug Nail Polish Remover Acetone Free (£1.39), I use this mostly to clean up my nails around the cuticles, any mess, dip the brush in and voila clean up.

Last year I stopped using spray deodorant for a couple of reasons, I don't think aerosol cans are good for the environment and the spray impact can be harsh and cause discolouration underneath the skin. Searching high & low, I decided to try the Boots 24 Hour Sensitive Unfragranced Roll On (£0.99). It's nothing fancy, sometimes I do feel it can give off excess product but I haven't experienced any stickiness. Being that it's for sensitive skin & unfragranced it's perfect when I've just removed underarm hair. I'm shocked that for 99p, I'm pretty happy with it, cheap, effective & cheerful.

First time I used any Twisted Sista items it was 2007 and I hated how it made my hair feel, it was crispy and dry and from that moment on, I said never again. Well never again must of meant January 2014 because last month I picked these two up in Sainsbury's Twisted Sista Curl Activator (£1.99) & Twisted Sista 30 Second Curl Spray (£1.99). Looking at the price compared to the price of my current curl product hoard, it was worth the gamble, gamble paid off. I don't know if the formula has changed or my hair pattern is more receptive, no clue! Whatever happened I'm glad because I continously was told at a funeral I attended how my hair looked beautiful. I wouldn't say the curl spray revitalises curls within 30 seconds but it does make my hair more curlier - added bonus. I get some great 2nd and 3rd day curls before it needs a wash but these two products work well together or separately.

Since my nails have decided to gain some strength & length I've been making the most of my nails so far this year. I've had the GOSH Cosmetics Holographic Hero (£3.99) within my collection for a little while after being gifted this by Grace (All That Slap) but just didn't think it looked good on the length my nails were before - personal preference - besides the fact that one nail chipped and I'm refusing to cut it until it's grown a bit more so I've kept the length. I like that this colour makes a change and I got compliments from when I first put this on that it's a nice & unsual colour. I have to agree.

The hologram effect is lovely when in full force, I used my Revlon Quick Dry Top Coat, unfortunately I did notice it wasn't as vibrant with a top coat on but it does show up when the light hits. Being that it's only the second day and I've already got a chip running through my nail.

Have you tried this colour or any other from GOSH?
I'd love to read any other recommendations.

February's TheVeganKind box is more food based, coming off the heels of Veganuary anyone who is looking to continue the Vegan lifestyle or still wanting to easily transform - this box will give you some ideas. Unfortunately there isn't a rabbit this month to feature, with all this rain, I didn't want to take 1/11 out. Hope the standard picture this month will do!

I generally have kale juice, not the keenest on it so when I opened this bag and saw actual small bunches of kale, crunchy and green. I took the risk and shockingly, enjoyed these Kale Chips immensely. A healthy snack, organic, vegan, raw, gluten free, soya free, cholesterol free, trans fat free no added cane sugar, 100% natural, no MSG or artificial additives, GMO free.

I've previously used Organic Surge & gifted them to others (spread the goodness) I've only had the citrus, always my favourite. This has a lovely scent, almond all around. It's more soothing and relaxing the scent for me, probably a good one for in the evening when wanting to wind down.

Choc Shot, 100% natural and sweetened with a magic ingredient - Sweet Freedom. 14 calories per teaspoon and suitable for diabetics. No artificial colourings, flavourings or preservatives. You can drizzle this on ice-cream, porridge, fruit. Spread on toast, squeeze and shake in a milkshake.

1066 Cake Stand - oh my god, I'm snacking on these right now and I absolutely ADORE the taste of these little treats. It definitely would be great with some vegan ice cream. The soft but satisfying crunch the h home baked, gives it a personal feel.

Braw Bar, is a food company based in Scotland. Health conscious but tasty. No additives, preservatives, synthetic alternatives, no added sugar! Just under 120 calories, good for an in between meal snack or just anytime.

This box has a £12.62 value. I know box values are important to a lot as you want to feel you're getting more for your money. I'm quite happy with this box to be honest as I've so far devoured nearly everything lol - always a good sign!

What do you think of this months box?

Ever had a smell that takes you back to a certain time, sure you have! This reminds me of my teens, thankfully, it's not the taste of my tears or sweat after P.E. but it sure does remind me of the body sprays we use to carry with us and inhale more than was probably safe. The fresh florals, zingy citrus and goji berry extracts, hit me with a young, brazen feel to my senses.
American Hot, Red Hot! You all know I love my reds as it is, this was a nice bold red. Unfortunately it didn't last as long as I had liked, roughly 3 days max & the chipping started! Fire Starter is a creamy, pigmented and buildable red, you can use it as a lip or cheek tint. I prefer it as a lip tint than cheek as red cheeks haven't quite reached my liking. This contains beeswax so not ideal for those allergic. Otherwise pick from Fire Starter or Posey Rosey if pink is more your thing.

I don't normally wear make-up on a daily basis, I've said before I do like my skin to breathe and then when push comes to shove, I beat it when needed. While cleaning my make-up and putting it away, I thought why not show what I do wear on just an ordinary day.

I'm a foundation whore, never can stay with one loyally. I play the field and from the last quarter of 2013 I've been using this Barry M Oil Free Foundation. I've not fallen into a problem with it in terms of break-outs *hooray* I apply it using Real Techniques Sponge as I like the finish. Yet the foundation would be nothing without a primer. Primer is important for everyone who likes their make-up to last and that's everyone. I've been using this Laura Geller trio which is an eye / lip / face primer. This does contain Dimethicone (silicone) & a few parabens, therefore for some it might not be ideal. Another product I've had not an issue with and I do like how my foundation can last, a little goes a long way - too much & there's a film texture - not good. Ben Nye Banana Powder & Concealer, my two trusty and needed items, cover up those dark areas or blemishes and sweep some powder under the eyes. Enjoying a Bardot feline flick, gel eyeliner is always a must for me, glides on the lid, lash & waterline. Sleek MakeUP lethal length mascara, had a good few compliments with this mascara, I find that unlike some others I can get two layers without a spider lash effect, it keeps the length without any flaking and breaking off during the day. ALWAYS apply my ointment before I start my make-up to let it sink in and moisturise deeply before wiping off the access and applying my lipstick, I normally use my Apocalips in Shooting Star if my eyes are going to be heavy. The Sleek MakeUP blush in Suede is my favourite contour for daily use and popping on Illamasqua lover just gives a nice overall finish. Setting I use my MAC Prep + Primetransparent finishing powder (not pictured)

After all that, how much am I wearing on my daily face? £115.20 worth. Erm, yeah! I think my skincare is cheaper or that of natural beauty lol.

Daily Face

I haven't done a Manicure Monday in a while, for the first week of February, I decided to try a glitter nail but only at the cuticle & moved upwards in a scattered fashion. I just used the brush that it came with, nothing fancy but next time I doubt I'll do my nails late at night, didn't come out as neat as I'd like, but hey-ho!
