Glossybox August 2013

peep inside
Glossybox High Flyers edition, perfect for the girl on the go? Quickie essentials, products from around the world.
What was inside my box?

All the products from this box originate from the US, Sweden, UK and Brazil. Upon receiving the box, I thought it was awfully light, nothing as heavy as other boxes I may receive, so I automatically knew that before opening it up, they were all light weight, small products. Anything worth the total of £12.95 per month?

1. USA Origin - TRESemmé "Platinum Strength Instant Rescue Shot"
I like the TRESemmé brand, more so for their naturals line, I use the conditioner as it has no silicone but this product does if your not a fan of cones, you would want to skip the 60 second treatment shot. I don't think I'd be using this, not a fan of cones and hey I like big hair.
full size 15ml £1.49

2.Brazil Origin - Óceane "Makeup Remover Pen"
Makeup remover pens are good if you are on the go, definitely. Nice little touch ups when needed, these come with 3 additional sponge tips. Yet what's the point on including something in a box that we cannot purchase at the moment?
Unavailable within the UK

3.UK Origin - Jelly Pong Pong "2-in-1 Shadow Liner"
At first I didn't mind the Jelly Pong Pong, but now I'm just not sure about the brand. Good products but possibly overpriced for what they are.
full size £10.50

4.Sweden Origin - Emite Make Up "Eyelash Curler"
I have about 3 - 4 eyelash curlers, I just stay with the curlers I know as I'm use to them, I know some people just wonder 'well that's the difference' sometimes I can notice a difference and how well they sit on the eye and comfort etc. This one was designed especially for make-up artists in mind, doesn't touch the eye base, keeps your shadows in tact and fits the curves of most eyes. I will put this to the test against the others I have.
Approx £20

5. USA Origin - Juicy Couture "Viva La Juicy Noir"
I've never been a JC female, I use to cringe at all the velour suits and the diamante embellishment, sorry it's true! Just wasn't a brand I was ever drawn too. This sample perfume spray, I must admit, smells lovely - young, refreshing and has a nice kick to it, I sprayed it on my bed sheet, can still smell it as I type this. Must admit, I wouldn't turn this away if it was a gift.
Full size 100ml £63.00

Have you got your box yet? What did you think of it?

  1. I think I would be a bit disappointed if this way my box. Perfume samples should never count as one of the items! x

  2. Think I would be real disappointed if I opened my box to see this. Doesn't really work for the £10 + postage paid really.. bit of a rip off box.

I was genuinely consdering buying them, but now im unsure.

  4. I am now in Sweden and just got my (Swedish) Glossybox and I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!!!! LOVE!! I had five items in there including a mini bottle of Elizabeth Arden perfume, a mini tub of Honey Body Butter (body shop), an eye lining pencil, teal blue nail polish (worth the cost of the box in Sweden-as one Glossybox costs less than a bottle of nail polish) and a Redkin shampoo AND conditioner. What? 6 items? yes. LOVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEE them!! ahem. back to work! :)

  5. You guys get your boxes so early, in the US they get sent on the last week. Like, shouldn't this be the september box then? But yeah that box seems sort of meh, I think I'm going to hold off on glossybox for a while. Thanks!
