Pür Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Make Up

Pur Minerals 4-in-1 Pressed Mineral Make Up Compact £24.99*

Never being 100% fond of mineral make-up, tried it once and meh. I'm not sure what it is about mineral make-up that doesn't jump out at me but I'm always interested to try. Having never tried Pür Minerals I was very intrigued by how it would hold up. Pür Minerals have some bold claims on what this pressed mineral compact can do. I've hardly worn make-up since last year, feels so foreign on my face now but I've been wearing this for over a week just trying to get a feel for the product on my face, the brush.
  • Smoothes away wrinkles and the appearance of lines
  • Balances uneven skin tone
  • Plumps, lifts and firms the skin's appearance
  • Clinically proven to correct, prevent and interrupt your skin concerns
  • SPF 15
Shade
Golden Medium. The colouring is a little lighter than I would of desired but this is always the gamble with a brand never used before and everything is done online. I have trouble with shades regardless, I'm a combination of colours. When I first applied it, it did look more like there was a film over my face due to it being a bit lighter but once buffered in, wasn't as bad but still light. I might get away with it in the colder months.

Brush
This came with a chisel brush, it's very dense. With any powder usage I find that most times the brushes take more of the powder than what ends up on your face. The brush isn't the softest but it does help to mill the pressed powder down into a loose powder, making the application a lot more easier. Using circular motions evenly blend it over your face. I wouldn't make it a favourite brush it's very firm and I have to remind myself that I'm not trying to exfoliate my skin with it.

Product & Application
With the SPF 15 this prevents sunburn, while the ingredients are there to help your skin rather than cause outbreaks. Since using it, I've not experienced any break-outs. My skin lately has done a reverse where I've been quite oily and very dry, it's now the other way round, on the dry parts it does need a bit more buffering as you don't want any powder sticking. This is a no mess mineral powder. The first time I really tried mineral make-up was from ELF and it was a loose powder came in a sifter jar. Messy and more product on my brush and clothes even after a tap. Didn't like how my face look coated, 4 years later I'm thinking pressed powder, ok. The brush is designed to mill the product down into a powder, so I'm thinking here we go, mess. Well no, no mess, brush to face, and no need for a bib.

Packaging
Handbag friendly, a solid, hard casing that closes well. Doesn't take up much room and there is no fret of anything of course spilling or breaking, once this is closed, it's closed.

Who Is It Good For?
Mineral make-up is good for those who aren't fans of liquid or prefer lighter application on a daily basis. This is very light-weight and for someone who has dedicated their entire make-up life with liquid it's an adjustment. I'm still not 100% sold on minerals if honest. They suggest a re-application of every 2 hours. For those who lives vegan products, paraben free and gluten free products, this is your love.

I think if I got the colour more correct I'd find this a good product for first time mineral make-up users or even dedicated ones.

Did I fail to mention, this is cruelty free!!! Yippee!!
