LP Skin Therapy by Dr Linda Papadopulos is all about psychodermatology which means it's how the mind can affect the skin. Various moods can affect the skin, I'm sure when some of us our stressed we end up in spots including myself. I remember when I was studying for my GCSE's and I ended up in spots on my legs not like acne or a rash but more like hives. It was unpleasant and killed my self esteem during those sunny days.
LP Skin Therapy works in two ways, it's full of anti-ageing ingredients and has Nootropics which are naturally derived, smart nutrients that have positive effects on the mind.
I was sent some sample sized products from the range, so while this won't be a full blown review it will just be an initial review of how I got on with the items.
Multi-Task Day Cream full size 45ml £35I started wearing this from the day after I received it. This is meant to help de-stressing, firming and renewing. Around the last 3 weeks I have probably got three spots, two of which are on opposite sides of my face in the same place and one by my eyebrow and nose bone which is right underneath the skin. The texture of the cream is light, easily rubbed in and has a light scent. I can't say it has reacted bad against my skin but I wouldn't say I've noticed a big difference.
Suitable for all skin types
Periwinkle Extract, Tyrostan, Vitacell, Vitamin Complex F,A,C & E, Matrixyl 3000, Platinum Matrix EM, Grape Seed Oil, Shea Nut Butter, Hyaluronic Fill Spheres, Liftonin.
Overnight Replenish Cream full size 45ml £30 //£5 offLP's Anti-ageing Beauty Bible Award-winning cream is becoming a cult product! Tested by consumers and Beauty Bible tester - 66% said that their skin felt replenished. With the nights getting colder, for me it's important that during the night my skin is getting the best out of it's night routine -( my bed is right by my window ) so while I'm getting my rest, I'd like my products to do all the work. I feel the right night routine, can even cut down that morning routine. The texture is the same as the day cream but the scent is more evident but it's not overbearing and really you only smell it mostly on your fingers - the fragrant is the aroma of calming wild mountain flowers, aiding you to sleep. ORC is full of vitamins that are designed to keep fine lines and wrinkles at bay. I feel I need something more moisturising during the night, doesn't feel drrry but I feel I do need that little bit extra.
Suitable for all skin types
Grapeseed Oil, Jojoba Oil, Shea Nut Butter, Vitamin E. Baobab Oil, Collageneer, Matrixyl 3000, Periwinkle Extract, Lavender Extract, Tyrostan, Platinum Matrix- EM, Gold Collegine, Cocoa Butter, Lipo Guard, Vitamin Complex F,A,C & E
Refining Lip Exfoliator full size 8ml £15Another product of LP that contains a complex of calming ingredients. Plant derived exfoliating agents help improve the texture, smoothness and definition of the lips. Waxy prills formed from jojoba oil gently polish and exfoliate and Volulip helps improve lip fullness and definition. I normally make my own lip exfoliator out of honey and brown sugar. The gritty texture isn't as gritty as other lip exfoliators I have tried and you can just about scrub the little particles out, the fresh lemon oil scent is very relaxing and as a huge fan of jojoba oil & sweet almond oil it's an excellent product for the lips. I like to keep my lips of course flake free and keep them supple. The ingredients have won me over and I like that it's easier / quicker to use but I am wondering if there are cheaper alternatives.
Cocoa Butter, Vitamin E, Sweet Almond Oil, Hydrogenated Jojoba Oil, Volulip. Calming complex of Passionflower, St Johns Wort, Valerian, Verbena & Wild Yam.
