Cosmo Blog Awards 2012

I was shocked that I was shortlisted again this year. Probably more shocked than last year, I was ever so grateful last year. I didn't even bother to put up the badge to say, vote for me so when I was shortlisted it amazed me that so many people thought I was that good to be nominated as best established beauty blog. It gave me a chance to go & meet so many fabulous other bloggers that I've never had the opportunity to do before.

I've been blogging a long time, 4 years this October and I really do enjoy it 95% of the time. I enjoy taking my time to really find out if a product works and show you my results, I never want to sugarcoat my reviews and I find pictures speak louder than words - case [1]

Sharing my passion of natural, organic skincare is important to me. I'm sharing what I love & what I've found out about oils that you can pick up in health stores or eBay and it has more multiple benefits or uses than most things on the market.
Yet don't be confused, I do still love things that have more than one ingredient. It's taking the time to learn and know what's in those containers that's important.

Bringing you things that others wouldn't dare share & having my mum and dad questioning me as to why I'm sharing such things as the Vajacial - case [2] & [3] cos to me it's important so share things like that. Might not be for everybody but I'm a beauty blog and beauty in my eyes is various things!

There's one topic I haven't touched on in a while because it can be not one for everybody but my mental illness. If you've been with my blog from 2008-2010 it was documented quite a bit, most post have been deleted but I did share a lot of the main reasons I started this blog - case [4] and being diagnosed with anxiety, agoraphobia & manic-depression which is commonly known as bipolar disorder was one of them.

My battle with my weight from dealing with that is something I've touched upon. I went from a size 8-10 to a now size 14 and when you feel uncomfortable within yourself it doesn't help many other factors. So I started to talk about my weight on here and on another blog - case [5] ( I don't use it as much as I should)

I find blogging such a outlet.

Having this blog made me realise more what I wanted to do with my life, even though at times I feel I'm at that crossroads, I took the opportunity and went and done a make-up course at AOFM - case [6] & [7]. Never have I regretted that in a minute. The make-up artists we were taught by, the things I learnt, the friends I made. It had to be the best weeks of my year.

Whatever your definition of beauty may be, your blog is yours to share & that's an accomplishment in itself.

I'm so thankful whenever one extra person tells me, they love my blog & explain why, it's so rewarding and the fact that once again you've got me to this point makes me grateful & ready for the 5th year of blogging.

Thank You.
