So how did my nails look after Michelle had finished with them :
10/05 : - look at that fantastic gloss ... love it.

15/05 : - This was 5 days later, as you can see my nail has broken off like I explained in my last post and after this I started to wash my paint brushes and the white spirit seemed to peel the nails :-(

But I was still quite surprised 5 days later not a chip. I honestly wished that I could of maintained it through all my hussle and bussle of the next week too. Even though I would honestly of seen this manicure lasting.

I mean my nails chip after one of my sauna baths or hair washing and I had not one incident but the white spirit ... !!

My experience was relaxing, considering this is the first time having a manicure on my natural nails as I use to a fair few years ago use to get acrylics. It's quite nice to treat those hands that we great and use each and everyday.

Yet for the next 6-8 weeks I'm back on a prescriptive nail treatment.

Then hopefully me and Jessica can get acquainted again once that ring finger grows back :o)

Have you ever tried Jessica Nail Polish before ?

    Peace & Love

Oh Diddy Dum Dumz

Monday, May 16, 2011

Hey dahhhhhlings,

I apologise ONCE again for being quite M.I.A but I've been quite busy so to speak. My hours pass by before I even get stuck into doing things when I get the chance. Last week itself was a headache, I've started redecorating which is 95% finish, just needs some finishing touches.

I wonder if anyone will guess how I've decided to redecorate...

I'm also mourning the loss of a fingernail & manicure lmao....

My male best friends must of seen this as the most girliest they've ever experienced me... my nail tip completely snapped off straight into my palm on Thurs I was so shocked that a lady asked me if I was okay and I had to proclaim that I was not as my nail came off and due to my decorating the white spirit had managed to chip off my manicure... which I'm so devastated about.

A few personal drama's I had to attend to also plus one of my 1st female rabbits died last week Tuesday so that set me back a few days :(

So we can safely say... last week was officially a week I'd like to forget.

I got a few things in the works at the present time, I have been quite off when it comes to blogging erm just after the drama's I was receiving you just kind of get this *sighs* why am I bothering feeling but after a break you realise there's the true ones and yourself who you continue doing this for.

Now back onto the posting.... & a warm cup of tea welcome to my newest followers, much appreciated xoxo

Grabbing this bull by the horns ...

Peace & Love

La Tweez Pro Illuminating Tweezers

Saturday, May 07, 2011

Tweezers, we've had a love / hate relationship there's no denying that.

We've been together through the over plucking, dullness, desertion & much more.

I'm not a frequent or should I say tweezers are not my primary tool when it comes to eyebrows. I self thread them and then any little hairs I will pluck out - sometimes leading to slight mishaps of taking out hairs I should of left alone.

I wonder if there are any ladies who are like me with this one...I sometimes feel if my tweezers are not sharp enough that they will just not do the job for me. It's almost as if they have to be razor sharp so I know it will grip that hair and take it out.

Last month when I got the HD Brows treatment from Michelle at Beauty's Within, Michelle was using some tweezers that I noticed had a small light attached to it. I was offered to take a pair to try out and review curtsey of Michelle. So I did.

I was told I could get rid of those stray hairs that come about but not to touch any too close to my eyebrows, well within a week I was ready to start taking out some hairs that needed pulling.

So taking it out of the packaged box...we have what we can take as a lipstick case....

Open it up and you have a mirror in one of the shell casings, which already this makes these handy tweezers to have on the go and easy enough to find in our handbags.

The next part that makes these tweezers...the LED illuminating light...

The white bright built - in LED light eliminates shadows so you can see directly onto the direct spot you are plucking out.

Now I wouldn't advice it but I've been doing the odd tweeking's in bed while in the dark because the light is just so handy to have just to pluck out those couple strays lingering about.

They are very light weighted compared to my other tweezers that I own...not sharp at all but the point on them makes it smooth and easy against the skin as I go to pull out the hair, whereas my others it was a game of trying not to pinch the skin incase of grazing or plucking the skin.

Where to buy : House Of Fraser

Thanks to Michelle from Beauty' Within for allowing me to review these tweezers.

Disclosure : This product was given to me. I have reviewed this product to my satisfaction.

Sleek MakeUP True Colour Lipstick

Monday, May 02, 2011

Walking around Superdrug in Westfields on Friday I noticed that they had a buy 2 for £6 on Sleek True Colour Lipsticks.
Never have tried the lipsticks from Sleek MakeUp so I thought why not. I noticed that they had released new shades and for a while I was after "Apricot" & after contacting Sleek via Twitter, they informed me it had been discontinued and "Peaches & Cream" was now in place of such shade.

Barely There & Peaches & Cream

Barely There it blends very well with my original lip colour, giving it that barely there look it's not the type of nude to feel washed out by it. The creamy texture that the lipsticks have make it feel enjoyable to have it on, it doesn't feel drying unlike some of the Barry M lip paints do.

Peaches & Cream fits right in there with the craze of pastel, neutrals, peaches, nudes anything calming and sweet you could think of. It's a nice subtle shade. That comes off more nude than the barely there. I had it on with my Revlon "Unlimited Nectar" lipglaze & MAC "Summerfruits" Lipliner last night..I think it works well...

Available at Superdrug or Sleek MakeUp's official website.

Have you tried Sleek True Colour Lipstick ?
