AVON Coral Beat

Monday, June 28, 2010

I don't think I should call them NOTD as I change my nail varnish near enough every Thursday / Friday maybe it should be NOTW [nail of the week ] but yes the sun is shining even brighter in the United Kingdom and I needed something to say summer aswell as my OPI - That's Berry Daring. This nail varnish comes from AVON Pro Nail Enamel Shop Here

It's called Coral Beat, I used my Seche Vite Crystal Base Coat & Seche Vite Fast Drying Top Coat. I applied I think 2 -3 coats of the Coral Beat. Depending on the lighting sometimes it can come off as an orangy red or bright orange.

Alexandra Burke “All Night Long ”

Friday, June 25, 2010

Honestly I'm not a big fan of Alexandra Burke - Why? I'm not quite sure but last month my Nan had seen her on t.v. and said she liked her makeup & hair in the video, while I haven't bothered with the hairstyle, I noticed a lot of glitter and heavy set eyes for her makeup- I was in.

So I decided as my blog was in transition that I would do an inspired look and film it instead [eeek]

OPI That’s Berry Daring

Thursday, June 17, 2010

OPI's That's Berry Daring. This was my first OPI nail varnish that I ever purchased & I love the pink it gives off like a purple cellophane tint when it's in the light, it has more of a summer feeling than my last NOTD

Does anyone else have a favourite summer nail polish ?

Want To Have A Good Rumage ?

Sunday, June 13, 2010

Do you ever get those days where you just rummage through the wardrobe and play dress up in your own clothes? Friday was that day for me, I'd aquired a few items in the last month or so that I hadn't really tried on to see how they looked and photographed.
The dress above & below are both from ASOS it has a low scooped back and a very tight fit, just walking around my bedroom in it I was forever pulling it down over my backside again lol.

This satin jumpsuit also from ASOS. Satin right now seems so unforgiving on my skin, I have quite muscly calfs and to get anything that is quite slim on the lower leg is a nightmare and this suit is exactly the same. The sweetheart neckline and one shoulder is what I think I fell in love with the most. The belt is from H&M & the clutch is my mum's from the 80s.
I think I need to lose a few more lbs & inches before this one is taken outside of the bedroom.

More shoes for me, I bought these last week £23 in a sale from the catalogue. I can find it difficult to get shoes that fit true to size being a half size is quite frustrating so I was surprised that these 5inches are very true to size and comfy the platform does help give your feet the support it needs after all your heels are 5inches off the ground.

This short jumpsuit is from TopShop, I have this thing about strapless tops yet I'm forever having to pull them up and keep them snug, maybe I need more breasts lol. It would be very perfect for "summer!" wherever that went to in England the material is light and with it being shorts give the legs some sun and a break from the self tanning lotion [Yes I self-tan - the yellowness needs to be banished lol] It also has a belt that can be tied front, back or either side & I don't have much purple clothing either so it's a difference maker for me.

Christoper Kane For TopShop. These are my HG shoes. I don't know how I lived without them, comfy and rockstar looking aha!! I love them, so I haven't had the chance to wear them out yet I'm more of a shoe collector and hate to wear them out in-case they umm get scuffed or stones in the bottom - sad I know.

Do you have a holy grail item in your collection that you just cannot do without ?

FOTD : There’s No Smoke Without Fire

Saturday, June 12, 2010

This is my first makeup look for this new site. I'm a huge lover of the smokey eye look so there's no surprise to what my first post was going to be on.

I'm definitely NOT a big fan of the Smashbox Eyelid Primer. I'd only applied my eyeshadow an hour or so before I took this picture but my eye makeup started to crease. I would of put it down to the fact that my room is quite humid but this is the second time in using this & the first time was pretty cold, but I will continue to use it but the cons so far are out weighing any pros that I could come up with.

This Bobbi Brown Lip Gloss comes with a brush applicator , I find it quite sticky but it's a nice slight shimmer nude colour on my lips
[ I tend to apply pure vitamin oil over the top to get more of a shine ]

Feather Skirt

Friday, June 04, 2010

For as long as I can remember I've always wanted a feathered skirt but sometimes when you look at the store brands does it make sense to spend over £70+ for feathers stitched onto a skirt !? This is my first attempt at customizing clothing...eeek!

I purchased 4 boas & used them all, I think it does depend on the length and width of your skirt, I don't recommend the large boas.

Were going to want to attach our feathers in a zig zag pattern, so the feathers hang downwards towards the sem.

If you have a zip on your skirt try and get the feathers as close to the zipper as possible so that it can conceal it.

& my finished product.

30/12/10 EDIT : I've noticed a lot of links from people aimed at this post and noticed a lot of hoopla over it . Just for the record I never got this from Love Maegan. I actually found a written tutorial on it.
