Naked

THIS is how Urban Decay does neutral! Far from a group of boring beige shadows, this long, lean, seductive case is packed with TWELVE gorgeous neutrals. Shades range from delicate champagnes to dark, gritty gunmetal, and feature FIVE NEW shades with names like Darkhorse, Virgin and Buck. We’ve also included a range of textures: everything from glitter to shimmer to matte. -Urban Decay.

Rai @ Glam Morena was gracious enough to send me the palette as I wasn't in the mood to wait. I love me my nudes & browns and the smokey look "WOWZA!"

The palette covering is a chocolate brown with a velvet covering that feels ever so soft with NAKED embossed on the front in gold lettering.

The box has a magnetic closing which I always prefer with palettes, most the time I'm breaking nails opening stiff boxes lol.
Inside you have a mirror, always handy and underneath the words NAKED once again written in gold. I just love the look of it. Simple but the colour scheme is just me.

Also you get the new & improved UDPP 3.7ml ( Urban Decay Primer Potion ) thank goodness they ended up changing the stick for this I actually gave up buying it after realising the amount of product wasted.

Time For Swatches

- Now I know people have seen various blogs that already have swatches but I still feel it's important to show them because not everyone is the same skin tone ( as we know ) so what is more vibrant, visible etc on one person may not be the same on others.

Virgin looks like it could be a nice highlight colour for me. Naked for me is exactly that. Barely visible on my skin in most lighting.

I'm pretty satisfied with the palette to be honest, I think that if you do want a range of nude / brown colours this could be a great palette to have. It contains colours that you can wear during the day and then add to later on if you are going out.

Included with the palette is UD first Doubled Ended 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil :

Zero

Whiskey

This is my first time trying 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil and just the feeling from the swatch it lives up to the name it does glide, soft and creamy texture. I think depending on how it works on my eyes it may be a purchase I'll make for a full sized pencil eyeliner.

Do you think you will be buying UD Naked Palette ?

  5. You got it!

I think this is going to be a grand go to for neutral days. I love it and am so glad that I found it in H of F earlier than expected. Will you get the NYC one I wonder? I myself think UD shoudl do a London version!

  6. @WorshipBlues, yeah they were in H of F since last week I heard but some websites said that it wasn't going to be released until yesterday in H of F but that's obviously isn't an issue.

Your very lucky to have found it, oh I'm so debating about getting the NYC @VexintheCity has some swatches that has got me swaying even more so after I said this was going to be my big splurge besides essentials lol.

Damn skippy, I think that would be so cool if they basically did a fashion capitals of the world book of shadows so a London one would have to be on the cards :)

  10. I didn't even realize how compatible this palette would be with my skintone before reading your post. I had heard about the palette, but since I'm not a huge eye shadow person, I just figured, "Eh, why bother?" ... But now that I'm looking at the shades, this palette is pretty much all I need in my make-up collection. I don't wear eye shadow often, if at all... But when I do, I always go for shades such as these because they blend well with my tone, they give me the subtle look I'm aiming for and they aren't overwhelming because personally, I feel most eye shadows are for me. Urban Decay has always been my favorite when it comes to eye products. I think I need to get my hands on this pronto.
